The room was nice, the location is very good (although quite noisy). First, it seemed very nice and we reallz liked it. We got our breakfast in a bakery/cafe across the street. The pastry was very good and fresh. However, here is where my list complaints starts. The breakfast we got there was one croissant (plain, nutella or some sweet cream) + one small packed croissant in the room. According to me, this is quite poor. If you don`t eat sweet, you have only one choice for breakfast. Also, I think it`s quite small breakfast, especially for men. Then for breakfast we could have coffee in the shop or make tea in the room. I don`t find it very fortunate, that these two preferences were somehow separated. I always drink black or green tea for breakfast and I didn`t have this option anywhere (in the room, there were only some fruit and herbal tea), which made me quite dissapointed. But this is just a little problem, I just want to warn fellow tea lovers :). And as I have written above, the pastry was very, very good. The owner doesn`t speak english very well, so if you don`t speak Italian, the communication can be quite difficult. However, when two people want to understand each other, it isn`t much of a problem :) But then there were things I have never experienced before. First, the owner shouted (yes, loud) at us, because of the mess in the room (clothes on the floor). So we tried to satisfy her and put it in the wardrobe (the wardrobe is big enough and has enough hangers :) ). Well, th only thing she did then was taking a full plastic bag from trash can when it was handed to her and changing the towels. We were three, first time we got three towls then five. Maybe I`m spoiled, but I`m used to have two for myself. Another incident almost unbelieveable to me was when the owner shouted (again!) on one of us for walking to the bathroom in swimsuit, apparently we had to wear dress because there were men in another room. Well, I foud this very rude. Then there were some small things that could have been better. We asked, if there was a possibility to cook in advance (there is a microwave you can use and also a fridge). One would guess, we planned to eat some food in a hotel (we just can`t afford to eat in a restaurant everyday, unfortunatelly), however there was only one plate for three people in the room. And another little problem for me was leaking water from the washing mashine next to the toilet. I just don`t feel comfortable, when there`s a water under a toilet I`m using... Also, we asked the owner in advance, if it is possible to leave our baggage there the last day after we check out. We were told, it wasn`t a problem. So we planned our last day counting with it. But when the day came, the possibility dissappeared for us. Apparently it didn`t for someone else, since there were some suitcases left in the corridor. And she immediatly started cleaning the room, iven though we were still controlling, if we didn`t leave anything there. And she wanted us to take out the trash from the trash can (there was also some trash in a bag next to it, because it was changed only once during our five night stay and as I`ve written above, we ate there). I think the owner somehow didn`t like us and showed that by the way of behaving towards us. I find it very unprofessional and unfair, since we paid the same as the other people. We wanted to have a rest on our vacation and istead we were unnecessarily stressed. But to write something nice, once she let me pour water into my bottle in her laundry room, because it was easier :) So, with my experience, I wouldn`t recommend it. Not because of the breakfast or the washing mashine or any of the small things, but because of the fact that the owner was rude to us twice and it just shouldn`t happen. I hope she onlz had some bad days and we are the only people wit this experience.

Nice room in the centre of Trieste. Tasty breakfast in the shop on the other side of the street. The street was pretty noisy, i had to buy earplugs to get good sleep. Our stay was good at first. Anna was acting nice but second day se changed and started acting absolutely rude and disrespectful! Se shouted at us coz we had mess in our room (which was absolutely awkward, we were 3 adult woman, we have right to have our stuff in condition we want). Se told us she couldnt clean our room, so we put our things in closet and made our beds, but SHE DIDNT CLEAN IT ANYWAY! I had to change bin by myself (she just handed me plastic bag), other day she doesnt do even that and then, when we was leaving she was making faces and grouse about how messy it was (of course it was when she didnt take out our trash!!) She didnt sweep our room not even once. I even had feeling she was showing our room to some stranger. The worst thing was when Anna yelled at my sister coz she dare to go trough hall dressed just in swimwear! I was so shocked!!! SHE TOLD MY SISTER TO PUT SOME DRESS ON, THAT THERE ARE MEN HERE!!!! This was outrageous! And last of all things she refused to leave our suitcases in a hall the last day (we had to leave room at 10:30 but our train was leaving at 20:30). She promised us we can leave them for couple of hours when i was asking by email (coz i knew it could be a problem so i wanted to be sure there is no need for a second plan). But sudenly she didnt almost understand what we are asking for and everything was imposible (even when there was others visitors suitcases in a hall). It was so embarasing and unpleasant experience! I would never ever come back there!

We had a short stay in Trieste and were looking for convenience. The hotel is very close to train station, but best of all is the very obliging service. Our host found a parking spot for our car and assisted us with parking, retrieving the car and with our luggage. The room is small but good value for money. Cash only accepted.

It's an absolutely good location, this small apartment. We had one room for ourselves and a own bathroom. The hostess gave us a simple breakfast, but it was good. There was one minor point there. The location in in the middle of a busy restaurant street and lots of people stay there. Because it was fairly warm outside (34 degrees Celsius) we had the window open to get that bit of fresh air inside. Because of the much noise outside, we had to sleep with earplugs in or close the window. I recommend to go eat pizza across the street, it's a very cheap and very good pizza place with lovely people. So, good location, nice people and a bit noisy if windows are open. WiFi is free and works most of the time (not their fault though). As a couple, I highly recommend this and we're pretty sure to go back next year :)

We have had 4 nights in this hotel (apartment complex) in augustus 2013. + very clean (I would say extremely clean) and big room + we didn't have breakfast in description of our booking, but we have get it for free! (coffee en croissants - it was enough to begin our day) + WI-FI was ok + we didn't hear our neighbors at all + good location (15-20 minutes walking from the train station), 5-10 minutes walking from the center, 5 minutes walking from the bus station to the beach/castle Miramare + very nice owners of this apartment complex + good bed - noisy (cracking) floor - no airco, but ventilator - our room had windows at the noisy side of the street (with closed windows there were no noise, but we didn't have airco :) so our windows were open)
