Stopped at the Grand for pre dinner cocktails. Terrace and gardens feel magical at night and lovely piano music set the scene perfectly. 2 of the best cocktails we've ever had and lots of delicious free appetisers to accompany. Staff were very friendly and spoke English

Had a fabulous private party on their beach as part of a work trip during the Pink Festival. The location, food, decorations & staff were excellent. The pre-dinner nibbles were spectacular. It was a haven of calm before we hit the town with the festival in full swing.

should take care of the staff nicely. they look all tired. Of course if they are treated bad, they will give worst service. it would have been great if you see the staff smilling but unfortunately its not the case. thank you. see you soon

This place is nothing but grand, and we strongly disagree with any negative reviews! The staff was helpful and attentive and the atmosphere was brilliant. Our room was spectacular with a great terrace overlooking Parco Fellini and a view of the sea. We could not have been happier and wild definitely return. As a beginner filmmaker, knowing that the great... More

The personnel was wonderful and extremely useful in every respect. The hotel, however, has not been maintained to 5-star international standards. The pool closes for lunch is only open until 5.30pm, making it impossible for business travelers to enjoy. The fitness center is just a small room with three old pieces of cardio equipment and one weight machine for back... More

You can be only happy in this place. 5 star quality hotel and bar. Recommend as it is probably the only place in Rimini to have such qualities. Make sure you book your table as rhey sometimes run functions like weddings.

thanks to Grand Hotel staff. You took good care of us, despite the arguably worst weekend for stopping by your lovely establishment. For three full days (the length of our stay) the hotel was under sound attack due to the 3-day Intl Triathlon event (finishing line next to the Hotel premises). The obnoxious MC yelled in his mike for three... More

The hotel is just amazing . It's a museum with lots of old renaissance furniture and paintings , some of them dating 17th century. The staff is fabulous and is paying a lot of attention to detail, response, and overall enjoyment of the guests. Sealing is very high and beautiful designed giving you full space-freedom. Swimming pool is heated even... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the Grand Hotel Rimini, welcome to charm! The Grand Hotel Rimini, the five star deluxe hotel which has always been considered as the symbol of "La Dolce Vita" on the Adriatic Riviera, is a magnificent building with more than a 100 years history. Inaugurated in 1908, a national monument since 1984, the Grand Hotel Rimini has always welcome a large number of celebrities: the tenor Caruso, the Duce Mussolini, Gorbatchev, Bush Senior, Federico Fellini and his wife Giulietta Masina, Lady Diana, Christian Barnard, Tony Blair, Sharon Stone, Albert of Monaco, Edward of Windsor and the Dalai Lama, just to mention a few. With the taking over of the Batani family in 2007, major renovation works have been immediately started following the criteria imposed by the Italian Ministery of Fine Arts and today the Grand Hotel Rimini is back to its ancient splendour, especially the mythical Liberty facade. New, precious materials such as travertine, onyx and white marbles from northern Italy beautifully combine with the renovated original parquet flooring and Venetian flooring in the ancient ballrooms, in a beautiful harmony between old and new, history and present time. The ambitious project will be completed with the setting of the famous domes that went destroyed during the terrible fire that broke out in July 1920.The Grand Hotel Rimini is defined by its guests as a "magnificent oasis of tranquility." It is surrounded by a luxuriant garden of centennial pine trees, olive trees and flowers and stands just a few steps away from the private beach of golden sand, with a kids’ swimming-pool, restaurant-bar and a wellness centre, open in summer time.At just one kilometre from the hotel, the historical centre of Rimini is the heart of luxury shopping and night life. Culture and the arts are also very well represented thanks to major international art exhibitions organized every year inside Castelsismondo, the several castles dating back to the Malatesta seigniory (1500) and extraordinary Roman remains.High oeno-gastronomy is the specialty of the house. The hotel’s ancient ball rooms are the beautiful setting to "La Dolce Vita" restaurant where the Chef Claudio Di Bernardo and his brigade are proud to welcome you. Simple, natural and wholesome qualify the chef’s strong passion for good cuisine. In summertime, dinner is served on the magnificent terrace overlooking the sea and the gardens. The atmosphere is unique: the gentle sea breeze, the excellent cuisine, the elegant orchestra playing romantic music on the backdrop of the famous Liberty facade... Just like one of the famous scenes from Amarcord by the great film-maker Federico Fellini! ... more   less
