A two-night stay in early autumn in this beautifully converted villa - would happily have stayed longer and would certainly love to return. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more welcoming. Martina, the receptionist on duty at the time, helped us with our luggage up to our first-floor rooms - well almost a suite really...

This hotel is among the loveliest I have ever stayed in. It has an unassuming street entrance with a small but elegant entry hall. The stairs and winding hallways twist and turn, revealing large reading rooms and dining spaces with enormous glass chandeliers. The rooms are large and comfortable with spacious seating areas. The bed linens are crisp and new....

This is a charming B&B within walking distance to the main tourist destinations. Our bedroom was on the ground floor, but you need to climb up the steps to the sleeping space. Very charming and homely, you feel as if you are living in a large mansion. The reception team was most helpful - they parked your car, and helped...

The Santa Marie Foris is one classy place to stay. It's elegance begins in the entrance and is obvious throughout the building. Since it was an old converted palazzo. The owner of the original building is still the owner and provided the massive renovations to convert it to a hotel. The furnishing are impressive, done up in creams, whites and...

This modern home converted into a bed and breakfast was amazing. From the lobby with its carved Thai door and interesting photographs to the library upstairs it was more than we ever expected. The decor was beautifully done in black and white theme throughout-- the outdoor garden was lovely and we had a glass of wine there before going out...

Interesting hotel in easier walking distance of main attractions. Helpful, friendly staff. Lovely design of the hotel rooms, with a number of quiet areas, including a library. Good breakfast range and coffee brewed on request: whilst I wasn't impressed with the pastries the other options more than made up for this, especially the ham. Plus being able to eat outdoors...

Spacious, beautiful building. I holidayed here with my adult son. This hotel was cool, welcoming, helpful, quiet and within walking distance of all the amazing historical sites. The owner was helpful with everything including booking taxis, suggesting places to eat and showing us the way to get to places. A perfect 3 night stay for my son who has aspergers.I...

Our room was spacious, and elegant. The bed was comfortable, in fact the whole place is a quiet retreat. Breakfast was full of options, served on the roof top terrace or the adjacent room. It's a short walk to everywhere. The staff was gracious and helpful. My favorite stay out of 6 cities in Italy.

Beautiful period building located within an easy 10 minutes walk of everything. Congenial host (very personable and helpful), splendid room. Location was somewhat noisy with traffic, bathrooms OK but not brilliant, breakfast (optional extra) was definitely missable
