My husband and I stayed three days at Villino di Porporano in September 2016 and it was the highlight of our three week vacation. We had the "Attic Room" and it was spacious and lovely! The whole villa has been tastefully updated and decorated with a classic, traditional and comfortable decor with lovely grounds and a garden. Elena Maria was... More

This bed and breakfast is like staying in a luxury hotel but with an intimate feel. The rooms are beautiful. We brought back our dinner one evening and sat outside on the front patio. Elena, the owner, came out and lit all the candles to make sure that the setting was perfect. She also made reservations for a food tour... More

it is the nicest Bed and Breakfast in Italy. We go back every year. Beautiful rooms and garden and the best breakfast . The housekeeper are very nice and make you very welcoming. Its a wonderful place just outside Parma with very good restaurants close by. We would recommend the Foodie Tour that picks you up right there.

My boyfriend and I have recently returned from a 6 night stay at Villino di Porporano. Its one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Initially we decided we wouldn't hire a car, but on arrival we realised that it was perhaps just a little too remote, so Elena kindly helped us and found a local car hire... More

This was a homerun. Went on a surprise trip with my wife where I had arranged everything, she is a bit wary about B&Bs and loves hotels but after a visit at the Villino she almost wouldnt leave. The engagement and dedication that you find at Elena is amazing. Fantastic breakfast and good tips on where to eat. Lovely garden... More

Just left the best B and B we've been to in Italy so far. Beautiful setting just outside Parma, lovely gardens with the smell of jasmine in the air. Elena the owner was a star giving us tips on restaurants and getting us a table at one of the top restaurants which was fabulous and villages and castles in the... More

The Villino is located in a small town just outside of Parma. It’s run by Elena who is very well organized and has taken care of all the details. The house is lovely, and the garden is beautiful. Our room was quite large, and my wife’s only complaint was that there was no refrigerator in the room. That was no... More

Nice villa near Parma. Stylish and welcoming, the B&B offers a very comfortable and pleasant place to relax. The host is very friendly and pleasant and she definitely spent time and effort to make her place unique. Linen bedsheets and a great breakfast. Great spot to access Parma and surroundings.

my wife and I did the cooking class and spent the night at the Villa. Fantastic ! Our room was extremely well appointed, classy and quiet. Big bathroom with underfloor heating I think. Cooking class was magic : we cranked out an enormous amount of food under Elena's expert tuition. Her kitchen is a hybrid of a classic farmhouse kitchen... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Just a few kilometres from the centre of Parma, in the small, homely village of Porporano, a young couple devised and organised this place of delightful rest. Next to the main villa, in the garden grounds, springs an old rural cottage, built in solid stone brick with a hayloft above. This simple country site has been transformed into a charming cottage for guests; 5 rooms with en suite bathroom, communal area, a large kitchen, spacious veranda protected by glass which separates it from the enchanting green. Keeping the atmosphere of times gone by with its rough walls spaced out with blocks of pebble stone in place of bricks and the dimension of the hayloft which still astonishes those who enter; the rooms where the rough wooden floor gives harmony to the colours. The owners have furnished each room carefully and with passion: with iron headboards and delicately embroidered curtains and tapestry in thick linen, once forgotten in an old trunk. The cottage of Porporano, a place where hospitality is not only a profession but a style of life. ... more   less
