May 13 We only stayed one night at Salotto delle Arti. We wish it was more. The former palace rooms are absolutely sumptuous, and the service is wonderful. We occupied the Superior Double, which by far was the largest suite during our trip. And unbelievably the tariff of 135E made it a true bargain. The included breakfast, served by the charming and beautiful Benedetta, was varied, interesting, and plentiful. She made us perfect cappucino. Odd and funny coincidence: An Asian couple we met at breakfast live in Houston. I told them I used to live in Houston on Montrose St. They then said that they live on Montrose. What are the chances? If you are planning to come to Modena to visit the auto showrooms, balsamic vinegar museums, or Pavarotti's Museo, then be sure to include Salotto delle Arti.

We stayed here during our visit to Modena and it's such a charming hotel. The room is quite large and clean, and the hosts are very helpful from helping you find parking (which is tricky in central Modena), to providing helpful tips for what to do. The location is quite nice in the old city and easily walkable to any places you'd like to see in Old Modena. If you're visiting for the first time, call the host prior to your arrival so you can get detailed info on the entrance as that is a bit tricky. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Not the easiest place to find but worth it once you do. Located in an old palazzo style building, occupying the 2nd floor, Salotto has been sympathetically renovated with original terrazzo floors, large rooms with 4 metre high ceilings with frescos and antique furnishings it is very grand. Benedetta is a wonderful host and happy to help with choosing & booking restaurants - it is mind boggling other wise. Finally, everything is within easy walking distance and at night it is a quiet & peaceful refuge to rest up for the next day’s escapades.

Centrally located in the heart of the old Modena, everything in a short reachability. Very clean, very well decorated in classic style with lots of old time artifacts. Great friendly and helpful service. Rooms spacious enough.

This is a very charming place, with very high quality rooms for a resonable price. Bernadetta, who runs and owns the place, was very hospitable, and serves up a great breakfast. A very good starting point for a food excursion, as Osteria Francescana is across the street. Highly recomended!
