Air conditioning was in overdrive. Would not stop even after setting thermostat to 31 C. It was like being in a freezer. I caught a chest infection which I'm still fighting over 3 weeks later. I am (or more precisely was) a fit person and this could have had very serious consequences for others. They should not let rooms with... More

I stayed here for 3 nights and have mixed views. The hotel is further out than I thought and you really need to have your own transport. The bus stop is about a four minute walk and the bus No7 is a quite frequent service and takes about 8-10 minutes to the centre. Not a big problem but it means you just can't... The hotel was value for money. It was clean and the staff were friendly, but the bathrooms were small and dated and in need of renovation. The beds were comfortable, and we were only there for one night as we were visiting the Ferrari museum close by. I would recommend your own transport if you stay here as there is... More

This hotel is 15-minute walk from the Hospital in Modena and 40-minute walk from the centre (but there are some buses to the city centre). The rooms are basic but clean. The staff is very kind, prepared and helpful, always available to answer my questions. The breakfast is very good, with with a wide selection of sweet and savory foods.

I was happy with the services and facilities at our 3 night stay recently in this hotel. The rooms are big and clean, we had a Veranda which caught a little morning sun which was lovely. The beds were two singles pushed together, they were comfy. The shower cubicle was very small and difficult to get into. The breakfasts was... More

Close to the Eng. faculty (but far away from the city center, specifically if you dont have a car), it's a cheap and reasonable OK hotel for a short staying. It's clean, the service is gentle, wifi everywhere, breakfast OK, rooms are quite. Maybe it would need some renovation of the structures and room.

Hotel Astor is a great value. The breakfasts are fabulous! They even have a barista who makes great espressos. It is a good distance from the center of Modena. We used the bus to get to town as we were traveling by train. It probably is better suited to travelers with cars. It is on a quiet street with little... More

The hotel is in a quiet location offering free parking and wifi. The room was clean, adequate but worn. More importantly, we did have a good nights rest. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. It is inexpensive and more than adequate for a stopover.

Excellent breakfast with delicious cakes! The first night I was in a single room which was very small, and the window in the bathroom wasn't convenient. The other night I was in a double room which was big and the bathroom was good. There is no noise from the outside, I heard the neighbors coming and watching TV but it... More

Found this hotel on booking.com. I didn't want to spend a lot just for 1 night, therefore I went there. Late arrival was not a problem (but remember the gates close at 1 at night). My room was quite large, bathroom as well; kingsize bed. Airco and Plasma TV set available. All Extremely clean! Night + Breakfast =EUR49. Not easy... More
