The room was very basic and the bed was like granite. The AC didn't work, so was warm no matter what we did. There were only towels for one person so had to ask for more, luckily I checked prior to having a shower! Oh the shower, hmm, no hot water! So it was very brief The breakfast was OK,...

Dear Mr Scoggs, we are sorry you did not enjoy your stay, I am surprised you complain about A/C is not working and the lack of hot water in the shower... None else wrote on Tripadvisor about this argument nor you complained at the reception desk to allow us to solve the problems. I wonder if you could make the...

This hotel is a bit past its prime, but the grounds are beautiful and the staff is excellent. They made some suggestions about where to eat and when we showed up, the people were expecting us and gave us great food and service. Laura also arranged a great tour of a Balsamic factory. I'll rate them separately. The room clean...

We had little choice as hotels were full but we selected to stay here. Its a pretty basic hotel in an old building more suited for visiting business people. The rooms are tired and very noisy situated near a main road. Shower is minuscule and more suited to a yacht. The worst part was the restaurant - whilst the food...

Dear Mr Michael, we are sorry our services did not satisfy your expectation... you visited us during a very busy period ( as you wrote all the hotels in Modena were almost fully booked) and we could not offer to you our best rooms. I apologize for the waitress of the restaurant, she is really efficient but maybe that evening...

Very nice place to stay for business in Modena/bologna area. Front desk open 24h for very late arrival. Nice breakfast. Services are very good. Opportunity to have diner inside the hotel. Romms are however "old style" and quite old fashioned but still ok for business trips.

Great location for Ferrari fans but pretty basic. My room was very small and decor is tired. Lovely outside sitting area but the bar service, inside or out is awful, simply awful! You could die of thirst before being served. Even once we'd ordered three times, the waitress forgot! Room was very small and dark. Basic continental breakfast although the...

I live in Italy, and am very familiar with reconstructed 19th-century villas. The first comment I have, therefore, is that, although the reconstruction seems to have been done in good taste, the building is not nearly as solid as any others I've seen. The walls are much thinner than normal in such a structure. The window fittings are a little...

Dear Madame, from Saturday 27th September, when we asked you to leave the hotel as an undesidered guest, we knew that within a short time we would have read your review an Tripadvisor. I would start by saying that if you are looking for "luxury" it is not logical to choose the most economical room in the hotel and then...

Stayed at this great little hotel during a business trip to Pagani in Modena. I was travelling with five of my colleagues from UAE, none of which spoke Italian (nor do I). I was worried that arriving at around 11pm there would not be anybody at reception in such a small property in a small Italian town who would speak...

Even though the hotel is on a main road with very poor pedestrian access, the size of the rooms more than make up for the location. The hotel is great value for money given the quality of the accommodation, helpfulness of the staff and the happy hour put on by the bar with limited free drinks and snacks. The grounds...

The hotel is on an unprepossessing stretch of road a few kms east of he city. Lots of (free) parking within the grounds. The entrance is nicely impressive and the welcome fantastic.
