We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights Friday 22nd-Monday 25th. It was a dream trip for my boyfriend as he has an endless passion for cars. The hotels location is fair, but the views advertised on the website are limited to what you receive, an abandoned building and some trees, especially frustrating when you pay extra for a balcony room. Breakfast is nice, but not to English taste. Cakes, hotdogs, strange scrambled eggs and olives to name the main areas. If this wasn’t included in our stay, we wouldn’t of ate here, it was extremely expensive for what was provided. The room itself was nice, the bathroom a little small. On the first night our shower completely flooded the room, I was told it was because I have long hair, when it was evident it hadn’t been cleaned properly considering my long hair caused no issue on any other nights shower. Trying to get help for this flood was a massive task, we rung reception, and my boyfriend had to go down twice to ask for some help before 2 maids come up. They didn’t English and this made the encounter extremely difficult. My clothes for the day we’re soaked so they offered laundry, which was a nice gesture. If I’d of known I’d have to wait 5 hours for it I would of passed, we were sat waiting in all day as I was left with no trousers after the shower flood. It ruined our museum plans for the day. Upon checkout, I had to argue with the lady as she tried to over charge me. One nights rate was paid before arrival as a deposit and when I contacted Expedia our travel company, we were informed this would be deducted from our final total. This was not the case. After a good 10 minutes of explaining this, the amount was finally taken from the bill. A couple of days after returning, I checked my bank and they’d taken the full amount of stay AND the previous deposit paid, without my permission! I again had to contact Expedia who were able to process a refund of the deposit paid. I didn’t bother to contact the hotel and the staff haven’t been helpful throughout our stay so went straight to Expedia. The business men around us definitely received a better service than us, a young couple from the UK. It was almost frowned upon and questioned us being there. If I wish to spend my hard earned money on a nice hotel, I don’t see why I shouldn’t receive the same level of service.

Dear Millaremily11, first of all let me say that I'm very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay, especially for your boyfriend whom was supposed to spend beautiful times in the automotive hub of the world. I kindly ask you to don't think that we change our behavior in relation with who is in front of us: the most important customer of Ferrari is well treat like a 20 years old couple coming from UK. We are professional people working in professional environment: no doubt about that. It's actually difficult for me to feel responsible about your shower issue: sometimes it happen that the shower drain doesn't make the water drain properly even if our maintenance schedule is pretty frequent. What we do in these cases is to send our staff to solve the situation. It could take a little, the reception could be busy and the maids as well but usually in 10 minutes the problem is solved. We are in Italy, maids are not supposed to speak english, I hope you'll understand it. That's why we ask to our guests to speak only with our front office. What ruined your stay was not the shower drain but the fact that you used your clothes to dry the bathroom. You should have used the towels or just wait our staff, why you used your trousers and sweater? We did our best to dry your clothes but it took time. About the payment, I again kindly ask you to be fair: we don't charge twice our guests. Once we receive a reservation we check, through a pre-authorization (that is not a charge) of the first night if the credit card is valid or not. Once you check-out we close the pre-authorization if asked and we charge the rest of the amount the guest. Expedia does not make refund. Expedia ask to hotels to make a refund and nobody asked us to refund you, trust me. I understood that you stay was not special as you expected and you felt that your hard earned money were not properly spent and I'm sincerely sorry for that especially because you are very young and I know how much is hard to earn enough money but I ask you to be more fair in judging the hard-work of the people that tried to help you during your stay in the best way possible. Giacomo S.

The hotel is very recommendable! The rooms are modern and stylishly furnished. The standard double room is sufficiently large due to its clever layout. The windows insulate perfectly, so that no noise from outside disturbs. Everything was clean, the staff friendly, the service good. A very rich breakfast was offered, which is rather the exception in Italy. In front of the hotel there is enough parking space. It’s a perfect location for people interested in Ferrari. The main entrance of the Ferrari factory is only a stone's throw away. The Ferrari Museum is easily accessible by foot (15 min.), first along the factory premises, then into Via Dino Ferrari. We will be happy to come back.

Hotel Maranello Palace claims on its web site it is the most exclusive hotel in the area and is in green surroundings... The reality is, it is on a roundabout opposite a multi storey car park for the workers of Ferrari and is more like an economy motel than a 4 star hotel. The large beds, although comfy, have sheets that are too small. The bathroom is so small and poorly designed that you can not use the bin without it hitting the wall and you have to avoid the shelf when you slide open the door. The shower cubicle has an ingrained dirty base and has been badly repaired so bits flake off as you shower. The receptionist with short dark hair is incredibly rude and aggressive- avoid her and see the man who can give you maps and ideas of other non Ferrari things to do. On the plus side there is a large choice for breakfast and the ladies who serve there are lovely and it is very close to the Ferrari factory

Dear 1962martin, thank you for sharing your experience even if it has been disappointing for you. I'm very sorry to hear that. Our job is to make our guests' stay as good as possible. I felt bad when I read the title of the review: considering the Maranello Palace an overpriced motel in my opinion is not objective. I think it's not objective too the consideration of my colleague with the short hair. You should have specified that your wife was going in a private area dedicated to a Ferrari private event. We are very focus on our guests' privacy and we cannot make people allowed to wander for the whole hotel. I know my staff, I work with them side by side everyday and I'm sure that she has been kind and professional in telling to your wife that she wasn't able to go in that area. I'm not saying that you are lying but I guess that your feeling has been biased by a disappointing for the location that you don't consider as much as exclusive. I'll personally check the problems of the room. Maybe, the next time, you can contact the reception and ask for a room change (you stayed with us 3 nights) instead of waiting until the end of the stay just to have something bad to write on Tripadvisor. We are not perfect, nobody is, but if one of our guests communicate a problem, we try to do our best to solve it as soon as possible. Thanks for the review about the breakfast and the comfy bed. Giacomo Silingardi

We spent one night there. The staff was really helpful and kind. The room was small but enough, the bed was big and the kid could sleep with us without any problem of space. The breakfast was good and diverse! The city center could be reach on foot, 20min. They have a restaurant outside that its reachable by car or with the shuttle service they offer. Food was really good.

Great hotel for both business and if you’re just visiting the local area. Situated right by the factory there’s plenty to see and do, with the museum and the Fiorano race track just up the road, both worth a visit and also worth taking a little walk further into the town as there’s smaller restraints and bars. Staff are great and if you’re stuck for an evening meal I’d highly recommend the La Gazzella restaurant which reception will arrange free transport to and from.
