We had a short three day trip to Bologna flying in from Malta and picked this hotel as it was fairly central for the city and easy to get to by taxi from the airport . It is a nice interesting building just near the end of the main street Via Independenza so it was very easy to get into... More

My husband & I stayed here as he was on business but we stayed a week longer to enjoy the sights of Bologna with day trips to Venice and Ravenna. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional. We did not care for the initial room offered and were given a room to our liking. The painting on the ceiling... More

Very convenient location. Walking distance to train station.Room was clean and very comfortable. Staff could not have been nicer. Our first meal was, of course, pasta bolognese. Absolutely fabulous. We could actually view the pasta maker behind a glassed in kitchen. From there, we were invited by the maitre d' to tour a private dining room with a glass floor... More

Very nice location in the heart of the city. Terrace goes into the parc which is amazing. Complementary prosseco and good nighe candle. Good prices, helpful staff and very clean. Fully redone building with beautiful architecture. TK

The hotel is situated in older building that have been completely renovated with a modern touch. It is one of the few hotels in Bologna that has an own parking (about 10 cars, not more). In walking distance to the center, the rooms feature original painted ceilings. Spacey, with air conditioning and a nice modern bathroom, the only improvement could... More

I booked this hotel as it is part of the SLH (Small luxury Hotel) range and once again, I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is love and service upon checkin was excellent. We were upgraded to a suite which was a wonderful room in the attic area with a very large bathroom area. The room was very clean and well presented... More

The Hotel, part of the Small Luxury Hotels group is only about a 5 minute walk from Bologna Centrale station. The room was spaceous, though a little dark. The addition of a floor lamp would have helped. The Terrace was a great spot for breakfast but breakfast was not up to scratch. A choice of 3 sugary cereals,no muesli of... More

We had a fantastic stay at I Portici. We had a family room which was a good size although quite dark because of the size of the windows but the room had character. The room was kept immaculately clean by housekeeping. The sheets were beautiful. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. We stayed for a full week and... More

Stayed here three nights in August. Parking is on site and secure but costs almost the same as one night at the hotel (75€) which we thought a little steep. Rooms are pleasant - we did not have a frescoed room which I would have liked - I assume you have to request this? Staff friendly but a little laid... More
