Arriving by train, this hotel is just a 2 minute walk from the railway station and the Aerobus airport service bus stop. Their are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops closeby. The walk to the old town is approx 20 minutes for a slow walker. I was greeted professionally and friendly by the reception staff, who spoke excellent English (my Italian is a few basic words). The hotel has strict covid19 practices in place, including hand gel station etc in the lobby. The hotel has a bar area, breakfast room and outdoor patio (though this was closed during my visit. Their are 3 large lifts. My room on the first floor (105) was extremely large and very modern. Comfortable bed, desk, flat screen tv, table with chairs, large wardrobe with big safe (enough to put an iPad in) and air conditioning. The bath/shower room was large. The room and bathroom were very clean, but I was rather surprised to see damp mould around the shower end of the bath. Maintenance take note! Breakfast was buffet style, but served to you by staff due to the Covid19 situation. Standard hot and cold items including eggs, bacon and sausage, hams, cheeses, cereal, fruits, pastries, hot/cold drinks etc. I was a little naughty and had two of the small blueberry muffins - one was not enough! I have to say they were extremely yummy! As my flight was not until mid evening, I checked out and made full use of my day in Bologna. The hotel offers a luggage storage room for such events. Their is washrooms available on the lower ground floor, but these are only accessible by stairs, so not suitable for disabled guests. However, I am sure the friendly staff will offer an alternative for such a situation. Traveller notes ask for a bedroom towards the back of the hotel. The front rooms - though double glazed, will get some traffic noise. bargain. if you use the red ho-ho bus, make sure you plan for a full day, as the service is not frequent. You can board close to the railway station. The bargain is that ticket staff will offer a great discount on the san Luca noddy train ticket price

We stayed here in June 2019. We were only staying one night so this was a great location, right across the street from the train station. Very nice hotel, very clean, great staff. The room & bathroom are a good size. Short walk to shopping & eating. Would stay again.

Without comparing with its neighbours, Star and Mercure, it is simple and utilitarian - a veritable Macs hotel. The service staff has varying professional standard - from the obliging, courteous to the slow and tardy. Breakfast table spread is sad unless you like cereals and croissants and bread. Bacon looks lethargic and uninviting. The room is just passable but the bath is in a tub with a partition of about 1 foot or more along the edge. So unless you sit in the tub (yucks) or remain stock still behind the partition when you soap down (errrm) you can't avoid having water all over the floor. No kettle in the room so you can't make coffee. Lights are inadequate so you need to work under the pools of lights or in the toilet if you don't have young eyes.

We loved staying three nights. The room was extremely large, nicely decorated, and looked just like the pictures online. Friendly staff who worked hard to overcome a few language barriers. Hotel is directly across from the train station and close to shopping. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay here again.

Normally I would not have chosen a hotel right across from the train station - but knew I would be travelling with 2 very very heavy bags. Picked UNAHotels Bologna Centro hoping for the best and was so pleasantly surprised! The hotel was fantastic, it has a great designer look as you enter, very modern and clean. The front desk staff was super nice, and very helpful to me in printing out some papers and helping me with a taxi. The room itself was great, so new, so modern looking with a great bathroom and quiet at night. It is a an easy walk (maybe 1.3 kilometer) to Piazza Maggiore and along the walk are tons of great shops and churches to see. Breakfast in the morning was a nice buffet with a lot of choices. All in all a great stay - I will look for UNA Hotels in other cities and would certainly choose to stay at this one in Bologna again.
