Very charming hotel with good sized rooms, lovely doors and windows and high ceilings. Don't expect modern efficiency, but enjoy a wonderful, calm atmosphere. Good sitting rooms downstairs and nice stairwell and corridors. Double doors to bedrooms. Faded, but charming furnishings, creaky plumbing, but fantastic shower. My favourite type of hotel, I really hope they don't modernise it.

I wouldn't go there again as the room smelt of sewage from the shower drain. No spare toilet paper in sight. Had to go down stairs to ask reception. Bar fridge wasnt working. Some of the light globes weren't working. Lift was down for service no staff to help with luggage. Breakfast was just croissant and coffees, also had boiled... More

Dear Travellers, this place is a joke. I booked it through edreams while stopping over in an airport and didn't pay much attention. This hotel is absolutely horrible. My room was far away from a 3-star hotel room. Everything is decadent, very badly kept, it falls into pieces. I was literally shocked when i saw my bedroom and could not... More

For 3 or 4 nights, at a good price, this Palace Hotel in Bologna is very satisfying. Clean and fresh smelling, although 'old' in its look. Friendly and helpful reception. Good breakfast which is slightly more than 'continental'. But, best asset, very near to what needs to be seen in the city; all at walking distance.

Really close to Piazza Majore and other downtown stuff. Price matches the 3 star hotel, so expect that. Staff and breakfast were great! I mean they have an espresso machine like (like all hotels) so that's worth it enough for me. Push a button: macchiato. Glorious.

The hotel is extremely comfortable for those who want to visit the city centre and reach the towers and Piazza Maggiore easily. We were given a really warm room at the second floor, where, however, the heating was so noisy it turned on all of a sudden during the night and woke us up a couple of times. However, as... More

I was totally taken aback by this hotel. I even cried when I got in after a long flight. Never in my life did I expect to have to stay in such a room for a WEEK. I think camping in the outdoors could have received a better rating. 3 stars IT IS NOT ... And what to say about... More

Although the location is excellent and the staff is friendly, the overall condition of the hotel (shabby and run down) is so bad and the breakfast options so poor I really can't recommend it - at least not at that price. If it were a hostel asking for 40% of the money it might just be acceptable... The room was... More

Excellent location. Off road parking for an extra payment. Enormous double room with enormous en suite bathroom and balcony overlooking the town.Faded splendour but the lifts do work after a fashion. Generous buffet breakfast served in a rather small room. For location and parking, excellent value if booked in advance.
