We stayed 5 nights in the 3rd week of October 2014. Our room was the John Cage room on the 2nd floor directly up from the hotel entrance. It was very spacious, nicely decorated and had quality amenities and bed linens. We were initially concerned about noise from the elevator across from our room door and from the street below,...

we stayed here last week and it is a marvelous hotel. situated just of the main square up a small side street. We arrived midday and our room was not quite ready but only had to wait five minutes in a comfortable lounge, The staff were very friendly and helpful, our bag was taken up while we waited. As has...

The hotel is in a small side street, just off the main downtown plaza of Bologna, Piazza Maggiore. This makes for a perfect down-town location, but at the same time, it's a quit location with relatively very little traffic. Breakfast can be had at an osteria (small restaurant) next door, but we opted not to include that, simply because we're...

We choose to stay in one of their apartments which is in a separate building (shopping center below) adjacent to their Hotel. It was very convenient because you were able to register with the Hotel & a staff member was delegated to travel with us to the apartment (some distance in the car because of one way streets), assist with...

First room we were shown only had sky lights, very hot and stuffy, aircon not good, below average bathroom in fact a large cell. Eventually shown to a more airy room with opening window. Very small, no room to swing a cat let alone open more than one case. Tiny bathroom with loo seat hanging off,v small combo bath shower...

Dear Guest, Wow! What a funny review. Just to try and show that you may have described something completely different from our hotel: The first room you were shown is a superior room: as a courtesy we thought a free upgrade would be a nice surprise at arrival. After 35 days the hotel opened back on 1st September after setting...

This hotel is two mins walk from Piazza Maggiore, close to restaurants and walking distance from central Bologna. Although we arrived at the hotel before check in time the room was ready for us. We were nicely welcomed by the receptionist and were given a city centre map. Bit disappointed with the room after reading about the themed rooms. Our...

Although we arrived at the hotel well before check in time, the room was ready for us. We were nicely welcomed by the receptionist and were given a city centre map and a brief explanation of how to get to Stadio Dall Ara where we were attending a concert that same evening. The room was a bit disappointing as we...

Quaint hotel in a great location! We were able to walk to all the major attractions easily from this hotel. The rooms are a bit small but the bathrooms are nice. We had an interesting room that had character drawings of Orchestra Composers by a famous musician and artist. It was really different and unusual. The hotel is a bit...

We decided to spend two days in Bologna at the end of our trip but had no great expectations - so we were enormously surprised and pleased with the city - no crowds, amazing restaurants, unique shopping (more than the usual international chain stores), interesting historical sights. What made our time especially wonderful was this hotel. Al Capello Rossi is...
