As we do a lot of train travel between various cities as part of our holiday it makes sense for us to stay in a location near a railway station. The Mercure in Bologna was immediately opposite so we didn't have far to carry our bags and were soon checked in. I asked for a room with a bath and... More

The room was a decent size, the beds were comfortable, there were good pillows, ok linens, and a nice enough bathroom. There was a tiny fridge with items to purchase, and a hot pot for tea and instant coffee. The first two bottles of water were complimentary. There was TV and wifi. The room had air conditioning, but it appeared... More

An excellent hotel with excellent front office crew. Next to the station and walking distance to all the main tourist sites. There is a large private garden and rooms over the garden are very quiet. Rooms on fifth floor come with bathrobes et al.

We stayed during a business trip in March 2016. The Hotel is very dated and dark. Checking in at night took us an hour. It has a nice back garden but overall nothing special. Breakfast bellow average and the area it wasn't of the best in Bologna.

The hotel is situated directly opposite the rail station but unlike some cities this is did not seem a bad area. The staff we dealt with were very courteous and efficient. The hotel is a little dated but the only negative was the traditional key system which may mean a bit of a wait to collect your key if the... More

Convenient to the Bologna Central Train Station and the breakfast was good, so the 2 star review. The rest was horrible, especially since this was by far the most expensive room in our 2 weeks in Italy. Room was designed circa 1950. There was still a radio built into the table between the twin beds, that was not working, so... More

We stayed only one night, but would have stayed longer if we had more time. Located directly across the street from the train station, we walked there with our bags. The room was nice and the hotel has a very nice breakfast. There is also a very pretty outdoor patio and garden where we enjoyed a drink. It was an... More

I bought this hotel on Hotwire- what a mistake! It was supposed to be a 4.5 star and technically it may be, but it is nothing like the other brands they advertise. And, the price wasn't that different from the price you can get on the hotel website. What we found was a tired hotel that probably hasn't been remodeled... More
