Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The room was spotless with an excellent shower. The air conditioning was a little noisy but it was over 34C outside. Coffee at breakfast was exceptional and freshly made. The station was very close.

PS Check out the waiting room at Bologna, next door to the ticket hall. A terrorist bomb killed 85 people on 02 August 1980. The memorial is poignant. Look it up on wikipedia, the photo there shows the damaged station, which will help you in your travels. Also, spot the clock, seen from outside on left side of ticket hall, which is set to the time of the blast.
