Detailed Reviews
3 rooms and no lobby in this immaculate B&B at the top of the hill in Urbino. Very well-appointed, modern decor with charming touches and a very accommodating host. Set your GPS for the Forteza Albornoz, park in the white zone and walk to the B&B which is only a few steps away from Raphael's tomb. (Do NOT drive into the ZTL. Not only is it a nightmare but there's no need.) Narrow concrete spiral stairs can be challenging for guests with large bags but it is definitely do-able. The main action in Urbino is down a very steep hill but being able to park a short distance away is the trade-off.

This air bnb was very comfortable, if tiny. It is located in a very ancient building, just up the road from Raphael's birthplace. Good parking nearby. Although we only met by "zoom", our hostess was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served at the terrace café around the corner.

The "Misteri d'Italia" room at B&B Albornoz has everything you need for a pleasant stay - good bed, storage space, nice bathroom and a roomy, rain-head shower in an enclosure with a glass door. There is a separate alcove with an electric stove, sink, and refrigerator so you can prepare a meal if you wish. Plenty of pots, pans & dishes. The room is like a mini-apartment where you feel at home. It's on the top floor, and there are windows on both sides of the room, plenty of light, and good views over the roofs of Urbino - there is even a window in the bathroom & kitchen. The room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated, an eclectic mix of modern and antique, with a good-sized wardrobe. All major sites are within easy walking distance. The owners, Nadia & Pier Angelo and little daughter Jacqueline are a delightful, welcoming family. Thanks Nadia for the home-made bon-voyage pastries the morning we left! We hope to return to Urbino and would certainly stay at B&B Albornoz, and would recommend it to all our friends.

I highly recommend B&B Albornoz.
The physical property is very nice. It has recently been completely restored and very tastefully redecorated. It has a delightful private courtyard that is especially nice when lite up at night.
I stayed in the Mysteries of Italy room. In addition to a bedroom, there is a recently renovated private bathroom and a full-function kitchenette. The décor is tasteful and comforting. The room was exceptionally large and had everything a traveler wants. It is a great room.
The B&B’s proximity to free public parking is a huge plus. It is a very short walking distance away. During my stay, I took four day trips to locations outside of Urbino. Upon my return each day, I readily found convenient parking. (This is significant in a town like Urbino.)
Another plus is that there is a new, modern, self-service laundromat within one block of the B&B.
B&B Albornoz is a family-run operation, and it feels that way. The operators are very nice people, very helpful and accommodating. They will make you feel comfortable immediately. I could not have asked for more.
Some should be aware of-----Urbino is built on, and between, two hills. The B&B is on the crest on one of those hills. It is a short walk to the center of town. Downhill is easy. Uphill will be an issue for those who have trouble with stairs. I am in above average physical condition for a 67 year old male. At two-thirds up the hill, I found myself stopping for a couple of minutes to regroup. It was not a significant thing for me. However, I think it might be different when I am 77. Also, I have two friends with severe knee problems. The uphill return would not be good for them.

We stayed at B&B Albornoz in July of this year, and truly enjoyed the experience. The hosts Nadia and Pier Angelo are incredibly friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile to give us reliable recommendations for places to eat, as well as advice on travelling to Ancona airport on our way back.
The rooms are very comfortable with everything that you might need. B&B Albornoz is also located in a perfect position in Urbino, right by the Albornoz fort (which offers the best view of the town and the surrounding countryside possible).
Highly recommended on all counts!

We wanted an apartment where we could walk to everything in the town without having to use the car and this place suited that criteria. A little on the small side, the kitchenette is tiny, and there isn’t much storage or hanging space, but it was clean, and had a comfy bed. The bathroom is not great, impossible to open the window, but it was cleaned to a high standard every day, as was the rest of the studio. It is noisy, you can hear the people in the apartment below talking and various plumbing noises and the next door neighbour likes to shout quite a bit. The owner, Nadia, is helpful and pleasant, speaks excellent English and offers breakfast at a local café which is very nice. All in all, a happy experience if a little basic, but good value and a really great position in Urbino town which is well worth a visit.

We stayed at B&B Albornoz for three nights and found the accommodation charming and fitted out well with a very comfortable bed, chairs and table, space to hang clothes, good bathroom facilities and even a tiny---but useful---kitchenette. Our room was on the top floor and had good views in two directions. All was spotlessly clean. The hosts Nadia and Pier Angelo were very welcoming. The breakfast arrangement at a cafe around the corner worked very well. The cost of the accommodation represents tremendous value. We recommend this facility highly.

If you are looking for a hidden "design" place in the center of Urbino, which also offer the commodity of a little kitchen and a small patio, that the place to be ! The Breakfast is actually served at the bar around the corner (with has a large terrasse) which just add a bit a italian way of life to the place. The owners are fantastic people, really helpfull and friendly !

Very cute, well located, family run accommodation in interesting medieval city of Urbino.
Good quality linens, efficient modern bathroom, and small kitchenette. Would definitely stay here again. In room breakfast was better than breakfast at the corner restaurant.

Perfect! A special location; quiet and central with great parking and super close to all the sights!
Everything was perfect! The location was wonderful - completely central, easy parking, very private and quiet but also within only a few minutes walk of the fortress (amazing view - this is a must-see!!) and the palace. The rooms were perfect - really special - and very clean. The bathrooms were modern and new and also perfectly clean. We had a yummy and generous breakfast outside in the beautiful little stone courtyard. Key transfer was super easy and we were greeted very warmly with lots of smiles, even though we arrived 2 hours later than we originally planned (our mistake). It really was a wonderful stay and we will definitely stay here again when we are in the area in the future!!

Si c'è un parcheggio libero entro duecento metri dal B&B che però si trova in ZTL fatevi dire dai proprietari come impostare il navigatore, io ho fatto così
