Excellent experience overall for a 4-night stay. American stomachs will welcome the excellent bacon(!!!) served at breakfast. All will enjoy the numerous amenities and features offered in the room and the extensive facilities at the resort. Dinner at the onsite restaurant was not a highlight of my trip (sous vide lamb is not always bulletproof and can easily turn mushy), perhaps the architect erred on the side of minimalism with signage leading to easy confusion in navigation, and for me, the spa's "hot" water features felt "tepid" at best, but any quirks are easily overcome with a great experience enlivened by an earnest hardworking staff. Would highly recommend only considering this resort with a car and to take advantage of the jaw-dropping scenery and towns around here. For sure, I will be back!

We had a fantastic and very special stay here in July and will definitely be back in years to come. Marianna has created a beautiful family retreat at the Tenuta. It has the perfect mix of activities for everyone from horse riding and swimming (stunning infinity pool) to wine tasting and the spa experience. The ancient buildings have been elegantly restored and decorated, it was such a privilege to stay in a place with such a rich history and only 20 mins drive from Rafael’s birth place, Urbino. The service from reception to the bar and restaurant and housekeeping was excellent. Staff are friendly, calm and knowledgeable. The little chapel on site is so beautiful and adds to their wonderful story and history. The menu at the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast every morning on the terrace was superb. The organic cocktail bar at the pool was a real treat. Michele made some excellent drinks for us. Naomi and Angelika at reception were very helpful recommending places for day trips in the car and their English was very good. Andrea gave us an informative tour of the winery and vineyards. The wine produced on site is superb, with a particular favourite unique white made from a local grape variety - incrocio bruni. The spa was enjoyed by the whole family- amazing ‘emotional shower’ and jet pool. We had two horse riding lessons with Sara, we felt very safe in her hands - very impressed with her teaching style. Our 7 night stay here made a big impression on us and will not be soon forgotten.

Such a beautiful resort set on a vineyard and a stunning landscape. Staff were helpful and excellent and food was wonderful. We partook in the Vineyard and wine tasting, the farm tour, used the e bikes. Restaurant set on the stunning lake was exceptional.

The Ressort is quite large (you might consider driving to the restaurant), tucked into the beautiful rolling hills of the northern Marche region. The Unesco world heritage site of Urbino is about 20 minutes by car (over very narrow mountain roads). Rooms are equipped with a very fitting mix of traditional materials and modern technology, spacious und very quiet. Breakfast is very good, the restaurant on site as well. Perfect place to relax for a few days or as a base to explore the region

We have been lucky enough to travel the world, and are just picking up our wanderlust after the worst of the pandemic. This was our first trip in over two years, and because of that and because the hotel is stunning in every way, this will remain with us in our memories for a long time. We would go back to Urbino just to stay here - it really is that good. The rooms are in converted farm buildings. We stayed in TIMO which we would heartily recommend. The conversions have been done so beautifully that the rooms and bathrooms and the shower are gorgeous, the bed super comfortable, and all so quiet. The hotel is part of a working vineyard - amazing to take a few steps from your room to see grapes growing in the sun or to sit in the private garden and watch the little birds. We ate in the restaurant twice - the location by the lake is beyond beautiful, the service perfect, and the food superb - the cod was probably the best meal I had in 10 days in Italy and that really is saying something. There are walking trails to the lake, to the river and to the horses - it was very very hot whilst we were there so we didn't do much of that, but the whole setting with the hills, the vineyard, the cypress trees and the sense of peace and nature, whilst only being a few minutes drive from Urbino and San Marino is something truly special. The staff were so friendly, so helpful and welcoming that we were very sorry to leave after a prefect 4 nights. We will surely be back soon.

Everything from check in to checkout exceeded our expectations. I’ve visited nearly every region of Italy and many are exceptional on their own, but when you add the beauty of this agriturismo , I now have a new favorite. And a shoutout to Georgio for making aperitivo truly enjoyable.

Absolutely a great place. Beautiful accommodations and excellent food and service. Spectacular setting. Highly recommended This area of Italy is as beautiful as anything you will see in Tuscany but less traveled. A very short drive (20 minutes) to Urbino which is a must see and a great place to spend the day. There are several other easy day trips as well.

This property is stunningly beautiful. 800 acres of rolling farmland on which you can hike, ride horses or just admire the view. The rooms are in converted 1800's buildings and are so charming. For us, the decor did not match the charm of the buildings themselves. The decor and bedding (in contrast to the buildings) in the rooms and the restaurants seemed inexpensive and not in particularly good taste. It might just be a matter of opinion. The rooms were large and light and the showers worked well etc. As a few others have mentioned, there is no help with the luggage etc (which was fine with us) but I bet if you needed help and asked they would help. They were eager to please. The restaurant is either a walk or short drive away. Again - not a charming space:) We were a bit taken aback. BUT the food was excellent. As was the wine. We also had lunch in the restaurant on premises (where you have breakfast) which was excellent. We did not even know that was available until we asked. There is an excellent local pizzeria a 5 minute drive away if you want something more casual (Sorry, cannot remember the name but they can direct you there). We did a wine tour which we really liked. The grounds are so beautiful and well kept. WE would come here again absolutely. And urbino is only about 20 minutes away.

On your next trip to Italy stay at the Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo while you still have a chance. Among the 10 family trips to Italy to virtually every region, my 3 day stay at this idyllic and peaceful hidden gem in Le Marche is easily the best and most memorable. First, the setting is stunning - surrounded by 360 degree views of hundreds of acres of rolling hills, vineyards, forests, walking paths, and picturesque farmhouses. Second, you'll be delighted by a menu of gourmet dishes that still manage to remain faithful to local recipes and traditions. Just take one bite of the passatelli and we were hooked. The locally produced wine is outstanding and destined to become a household name. Third, and most important, the people reflect the character of the region -- warm, gracious, humble and passionate. The staff welcomed us like long lost relatives, like part of their family, and created a magical experience we will never forget. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with the rest of the world.

Response from Marianna Bruscoli, Proprietario at Urbino Resort - Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo
Responded Oct 4, 2021
Dear Thomas, it is a duty first of all to thank you for the words spent in favor of a stay that made us both happy. Hospitality is a complex equation in which both parties combine to return a result of balance, and it is for this reason that the pleasure of being able to welcome you as part of a newfound family has been rewarded by hosting people who, with eyes full of curiosity, have been able to grasp the beauty for which we have worked in recent years. From the farmer who works the vineyard and the fields, through the research of the chef for the local products to the courtesy of the hotel staff, we are all committed on achieving a single goal: to enhance the beauty that nature has given us. From the entire Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo, therefore, we can only hope that your family will come back to visit us, perhaps bringing with them the new generations, heirs of this immense heritage that belongs to all of us. Our best wishes for you to continue on your Italian journey.
