As mirrored in the other reviews, our stay at Basilio 55 was fantastic all round. The staff were attentive and we were sat down upon arrival for lots of advice to plan our trip in Rome. They left us some Prosecco in our room, which was a lovely touch for our anniversary. We had room 306 which was spacious, spotless and had a good view of the street. The shower was powerful and a towel under the door stopped any major leaking. Netflix on the smart TV was also provided, so when we weren’t out sightseeing, this was a lovely touch as most hotels don’t offer this. Freedom is essential when on holiday. We were able to come and go as we pleased using our key card, the hotel is in a great location and close to the bus stop and within walking distance of shops and the trevi fountain. We purchased the 72 hour bus pass which was of great use during our trip. The breakfast was lovely, simple and provided a great selection. One of the cool features included a small 2 person lift that when up the centre of the building. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome.

I will do the pros & cons of this hotel. First the 'con's, well there are non, not one. The door on the shower leaked a little but a towel shorted out. The 'pro's - situated in a great location, quite but close enough to all the main sites within a 10 to 30 minute walk. The two young lady's on reception were just fantastic, I can not remember their names but they were so helpful with places to visit and how to get there. This is not a traditional hotel in terms of a reception, lounge, bar etc. This is a number of self-contained apartments over three floors with a dinning room on the forth for breakfast. This place is so much better than a 'hotel' it's like having your own apartment. Our room was both cosy and very stylish, comfy bed, good size bathroom (no bath) but good shower. Tea/coffee facilities and a TV. If you want to see the best of Rome, stay in a stylish apartment at a very reasonable rate this is the place. And to top it off, you get a very good continental breakfast included. Fresh fruit, ham, cheese, cereals, juice and pastries plus tea/coffee. Thank you for a great stay.

Good location , very helpful staff and great receptionists . Very close to shopping district and good restaurants and major attractions. Breakfast is always ready as 7:30am before my daily plan . Very safe to stay for your belongings, quiet place and clean . I enjoyed my stay in this boutique style hotel . I recommend this place to those who wants to visit Rome . Thanks Oksana and Mario for your Italian hospitality and for arranging my airport pick up which is on time . I enjoyed my one week stay !! ❤️

Basilio 55 is a very nice pkace to stay on the heart of Rome. Via veneto is just nearby. just a few minutes walk from the Spanish steps or fontana di trevi. A very clean place, spacious rooms, very polite staff and a fine breakfast. The people at the reception welcomed us and were very helpful. we had a great time!!!

Great hotel, fantastic location. Good for walking around or bus stops. We walked everywhere. Excellent breakfast, and well priced. What more do you need?! Reception are really helpful and will give you all the information you need. Rooms are reasonable size, good bathroom, though shower is slow to drain. The lift is tiny, which is great fun and quirky. A great stay in central Rome.
