SO this would have got a 5 star rating had the showers been in anyway a little nicer, with some hot water! Apart from that this was a stand out of my trip to Italy. Big group dinners, complimentary punch bowls, involving everyone! So much fun!! Would not recommend staying here if you want to sleep! We were taking by...

Stayed here for 4 nights with a group of 12 friends. It Was very near the colloseum and subway station. There is a common area with computers etc, and a kitchen area for food. We stayed in a girls room, boys room and mixed rooms. Was nice and cheap. However, the place was not as nice as expected... Was quite...

This hostel has a great location and from what I remember it was pretty cheap, you could have pasta for dinner as a big group, and there was some cereal for breakfast. There was a fairly good vibe with all the travellers meeting in the main area, but when we stayed there was some really suspicious activity (the travel savvy...

I stayed at this hostel last summer and I was pleasantly surprised. I had never stayed at a youth hostel before but everyone was so nice and it was an amazing experience! It's located in the middle of the historic area so if you're just wandering around you can't avoid seeing some historical monument. The Colosseum for instance is only...

Worst hostel ever . Rude staff. Dirty rooms and bathroom area. General weird atmosphere. Too many people in small room. Locked out during day. Would not recommend this hostel to my dog. I have stayed in many hostels. This is the worst experience I've had

Ignore the bad reviews! I've stayed here twice whilst travelling, coming back the second time purposely because of how fun the first time was. Owner was friendly, amazing atmosphere and great location! Highly recommend!

Ivanhoe Hostel is a party hostel, so if go in expecting a full 9 hours of sleep it may not be the hostel for you. That being said, the staff is really nice and full of helpful tips about the city. They like to host beer pong and pasta nights so that the guests can socialize. I met some really...

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
