I booked this hotel for 2 nights. We visited Rome last year and this year were on our way down to the Amalfi Coast. The hotel was just what I wanted, or so I thought. We arrived about 8ish in the evening. The restaurant was not open which meant we had to get back in the car and find somewhere... More

I stayed here with a tour group and was very impressed with the gorgeous property. The views are stunning! My room was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. It even had a towel warmer which I loved! My only complaints were: 1. The daily long walk up and down the steep. winding, cobblestone path to our bus which... More

Amazing views, beautiful grounds, polite staff-absolutely wonderful. I stayed with a large (rather obnoxious) group as part of a conference for work, and the staff was patient and gracious. It is true that not every facet of the room is super fancy and updated, but I would prefer character, beauty, and charm any day.

Our tour guide informed us that we were staying outside of Rome (45 minutes) in a four-star hotel with an incredibly view of the city. As we climbed the winding road up toward the hotel and took a first glance at our home away from home, I was so excited. The view was beautiful. This hotel looked beautiful. And at... More

The view from our third-floor balcony was stunning-- a breathtaking view of Rome! There was a towel warmer, and I was pleasantly surprised to have great water pressure with which to wash my hair. The rooms were quite big. The breakfast was nothing special, but there was plenty of food and coffee. There was wi-fi available, but we could not... More

I recently spent three nights in the Gran Hotel Helio Cabala. The hotel can best be described as a facade, very nice on the outside and on the first view but when you dig a little deeper it is not as exciting as the first look. We spent the first night in the rooms below the lobby. The room contained... More

Terrible room next to elevator which made such a noise i could not sleep untill it stopped and which woke me up at the first use. In the room the smell of the sink was very unpleasant. This was room nr 301. Their are other nice rooms for the Same price with a balcony. Complaining did not help. The guy... More

Hotel rests atop a hill overlooking a valley of homes and farms--gorgeous morning until night. Heavenly. Outdoor pool is large, refreshing, and clean and surrounded by small statues and nice patio for lounging. Rooms are also clean and bathrooms large and nice, despite small shower. Air conditioning is good. Breakfast was ok, but the restaurant was lovely. I would stay... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a family celebration so were part of a group. Staff rude and dismissive, if you didn't arrive by 10am for breakfast, but were two or three minutes late, they would not even provide a cup of coffee. No snacks or lunch available and they mixed our passports up with two other guests... More
