Okay like the other reviews say the location may look the low end of town, but I have stayed here twice now and I have never been hassled or felt scared even on a sat night. My family and I stayed here at the end of our 4week holiday of Europe and we could not have picked a nicer place....

Let's start with the down side: Termini is not the nicest place in central Rome. The area looks a bit dodgy, but once you are there you get the impression that it only looks seedy, although it's actually ok. We spent 4 nights there and weren't really scared, so that should be no problem. You could walk to most monuments,...

I can highly recommend Ines Bed and Breakfast for your stay in Rome. The Location is perfect for the Metro at Termini Station (both lines) as well as being within walking distance to the main sights if you prefer. Our room was clean and spacious and the genuine hospitality offered by Alex and his wife was second to none.

We had a fantastic time in Rome, and this was in no small way to Alex, and his family, who made us feel at home... like a part of their family. This was especially true when our plans changed last minute and we had to travel to Rome two nights early. Instead of just turning us away, he assured us...

We booked our 2 night stay at Ines B & B through Laterooms.com for September 11-13th, it was the price that initially attracted us to the hotel as well as the ideal location which was described accurately as a 10min walk from the collisium, before we flew to rome, we recieved an email from the hotel manager Alex asking us...

First impressions of the area surrounding the hotel (Termini) were not very bright. However, after meeting the owner (Alex), things got better. The hotel is basically a floor in an apartment block, so don't look out for exterior signs of a typical hotel. The apartment IS shared - 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. All are very clean and...

Booked through Venere.com but also had contact with the owner who was helpful right from the start. (I believe you can also book through late rooms) This place really is a hidden gem, we stayed here for 3 nights over Easter and had just the best time ever. It was a surprise birthday trip for my partner and the owner...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
