Stayed 4 nights in mid-June 2017. We loved this hotel. Small rooms but functional, clean and quiet. Just a 5 min walk to metro so download a good subway app and you'll get around pretty easily. Breakfast is ok, but worth the extra as it...More

A friendly welcome on arrival from the staff and luggage carried to our room. We had a refurbished room, which was small but beautifully fitted and appointed. The ensuite was large, with possibly the best shower we've come across in mid range hotel. The room overlooked...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Hello, the main Termini Train Station is the closest train/subway station. It will take you about 10 minutes to walk to and from there. The walk is through a mostly a quiet residential area. We used the train station a lot including to go to Pompei and to Napoli. The rest of the time we walked almost everywhere with the exception of the Vatican. (we took a cab there) Although you can use the subway to get there as well. (there is another subway station in the direction of the Vatican that is also about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.) Most all of the sites were an easy 30 minute walk at the most from this hotel. (we walk a lot and at a good pace.) The hotel is very clean, comfortable, updated with friendly staff and there are many choices for food and drink nearby. This area is way less expensive to dine in than the tourist areas and has a lot of locals. I don't think you will be disappointed. Enjoy Rome!
