We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, the hotel is very close to main railway station and the rooms are " FUNCTIONAL" they are very basic but if you are just looking to sleep and have breakfast they are perfect. The staff are very helpful and very friendly and will help with instructions on how to get around the... More

Stayed in one of Crostis apartments down the road. On entering the apartment we were overwhelmed by a foul smell which smelt like sewage. Tried to change our apartment to a hotel room but they were fully booked and seemed aggitated when we brought this up. Searching reviews of Crosti I came across one dated back 2011 complaining about the... More

This hotel is located very conveniently near the Termini station and it easy to walk to the city center. The rooms are good, quiet and clean. The staff is very attentive and I was very happy during my stay here. In addition, the breakfast is quite unusual in Rome: lots of good things to choose from. Maybe I lacked some... More

The hotel was a ten minutes walk from the Termini Station, on a side street. It is perhaps twenty minutes walk to Tivoli Fountain or Colosseum (opposite directions). We were appropriately greeted at reception. The temperature was pleasantly cool on a very hot day. The stay cost around £40 per person, which we thought well priced for a three star... More

This is a wonderful Hotel that was recommended to us by friends who had been earlier this year and it didn't disappoint. Lovely staff, Rooms lovely and air conditioning great as temperature was 38 degrees. Really local to many attractions about 30/40 minutes walk to most . No too far from Termini main station, reception will give you a map... More

The hotel had a notice at the reception that they had a power outage the day before due to which they had no wifi. They kept this notice for all three days we were there and we had no wifi the entire time. It was obvious there was no power outage and they were simply lying about it. The website... More

We booked an apartment room at the Hotel Crosti - confirmed as Hotel Crosti with the hotel's address. Upon arrival we were walked several blocks to an alternate building that was not Hotel Crosti and was in a low end of town. The apartment was DREADFUL and had no hotel services, bins in the entry were the most notable display... More

All the staff went out of their way to accommodate our every need. When we left it was too early for breakfast but they packed us breakfast bags to go and brought coffee to our room. Our boarding pass was difficult to obtain but Germano didn't give up until we had it printed. The room was comfortable and close to... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
