You have to enter at 33 via palestro. Reception desk is down parking alley on left. Check in. You will get a key card and a hard key. Take elevator up to your floor. Push the silver intercom button not the door bell. They'll buzz you in. Use key card to enter the community area. Then hard key for your... More

As a hotel in Rome I was not expecting anything too elaborate especially knowing hotels in Rome. It can be very difficult to find a clean hotel with private bathrooms. Finding the hotel is fairly easy to find and close to termini train station. Although I missed the entrance at first but when I did I went to the third... More

We're a family of 3 visiting A few places in Italy and have a budget to keep to. Considering the price we paid for this we were more than happy with it. A great location as you're near to train station. We walked everywhere - managed well over 30 miles in 3 days! The hotel rooms were super clean. The... More

nice hotel within walking distance to most activities in Rome. hotel is near train station and restaurants. Staff friendly and nice. Food was good for Breakfast and dinner, however I would recommend to get the full Rome experience eat as a side walk café. Rooms were nice and very antique and spacious for Rome.

We stayed in Massimo Hotel for its location as it was close to the train station, where our journey continued in the morning. Checked in at the reception in Galileo Hotel, which was ok and where the breakfast was served as well - members of staff friendly and professional. Massimo is sort of hidden in a building which has flats/offices in.... More

Very central to the railway station, and walking distance to many of the attractions. Hop On Hop Off Tours available not far from the front door. Room was large with a very good en suite. We overlooked a back roof which was good as we had no street noise at all. Breakfasts very good, buffet style.

This is our first time in Rome. We decided to stay in the Hotel Massimo because of its location. You can walk to all major tourist spots and it was very cheap. We went Half board. WELL.... the room was standard with air conditioning and the cleaning was done everyday. All you need for a comfortable night's sleep. The food... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
