Our room was nice and clean. The hotel is very well located as most of the destinations are within walking distance. The staff is very helpful (given that there is somebody present). Three things that - in our opinion- they could to better: 1. Unfortunately, our room was never cleaned by the staff. The staff told us that they could not do it because of COVID restrictions. However, other hotels in Rom are cleaning the guest’s room anyway. 2. According to the homepage, the staff is available 24/7. However, we needed help/information about three times and there was nobody at the reception. There was no telephone (or iPad) in our room so we were not able to get in contact with them. 3. The hotel provides a laundry service. This was very helpful and it worked perfectly. However, the prices are extremely high. In conclusion, we can recommend to stay at this hotel. However, we hope they improve things for the next time.

We had a beautiful few days in Rome and this hotel was most definitely a highlight. The staff were lovely. Upon arrival a gentlemen at reception showed us a map and circled all of the places to visit. He shared his recommendations for local restaurants and ways to travel. The breakfast was enough to keep you going until lunchtime and the service was prompt and polite. The location is perfect. It is central enough to travel everywhere you would like to go, including being within walking distance of the Colosseum, but not too central that you feel you cannot move (which is definitely the case in the town centre). Thank you!

Would recommend this great hotel 100%. The rooms are really beautifully designed with panelling and a lovely wooden floor. The neighbourhood is quite nice and only 10 minutes walk from the Colloseum. Most importantly the front desk staff were amazing, helping me with all my queries. Would definitely stay here again and in fact I hope I do.

The hotel is near the coliseum and the building is nice, but overall impression is let down by not taking care of the property. Our room had mold smell and there was dust across the property. It also need a good paint.

We enjoyed our stay here, the restaurant outside the front of this spot is really unique and fun. We found the food and wine very affordable. The room was nice, it’s a good idea not to open the curtains if you aren’t dressed appropriately, there was a table setting that could see into our room clearly. The young woman at the desk was very nice, helpful and accommodating, we will definitely go back.

My husband and I visited Rome for our anniversary. We chose this hotel for the location and in fairness it is a 10/15 minute walk from the Colosseum. The room was smaller than we expected and the first room we were given had an our with the toilet refilling which the lady at reception did her best to help and said would be fixed the following day. The TV wouldn’t work unless the remote was touching the mirror and the aircon was very tame. We mentioned all to reception who offered us to move to another room the following day. The second room was nicer, similar in size but seemed more modern. Remote worked from a distance but same strength of air con which wasn’t very cold. All the lights in the room randomly turned on in the middle of the night, asked reception in the morning if they knew anything about it in other rooms but didn’t seem to have heard it from anyone else. Nice terrace with bar and reception always polite and friendly.

I can not recommend The Corner Townhouse enough! This is basically a four-star hotel for a two-star price. Their front desk was always manned by very helpful staff. I’m a solo female traveler and always felt very safe. They give you a building key in addition to the room key as the front desk closes when the bar/restaurant does, but I never had to use the building key, including one Tuesday night when I got home close to 1 AM. The room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and modern. My bed was one of the most comfortable European hotel beds I’ve ever slept in, and there’s a cool in-mirror TV across from the bed. The bathroom was also modern and very well equipped. Shower was spacious and had great water pressure. The courtyard of the hotel features one of the best cocktail bars in Rome. The drinks are creative and delicious, and the bartenders explained every ingredient. Other than the sometimes kitschy music, it was a lovey spot to wind-down at the end of the day – there were always at least a few people there, Romans and tourists alike, but it was never too crowded.

Overall we had a good stay here. There were just little things that let this hotel down. The place needs a coat of paint - by all means have brightly coloured walls, but give them a bit of love. My room was bright blue and every knock and chip was super obvious. Made the effect look cheap and unloved. The shelf in my bathroom was hanging off the wall at an angle, so nothing could actually be placed on it. Only one light bulb in the bathroom worked - the other was out. Tea and coffee in the room was not replenished - neither were soaps or toilet paper. It was a pain to have to go and ask for these at reception. And I couldn’t understand why they were not replaced when housekeeping made their rounds. I liked the location - it’s nice to be out of the craziness of the central tourist districts. And there is a taxi rank across the road so it’s easy to get around. The staff were very nice and very helpful. It’s not their fault the owners don’t seem to want to pay for the upkeep of a hotel. The only major beef we had was with the manger of the bar, who was a nasty piece of work. I wouldn’t recommend drinking their. His attitude and manner were horrid. On the whole, for the price, our stay was acceptable. If we’d paid more, I would have been very disappointed with the standard. I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Hotel is a ten minute walk from the colosseum, not a bad location but I imagine there are better. The hotel is situated a 5 minute walk from the metro station which is handy. Similarly to the previous review regarding the bathtub, seemed odd as didn’t seem to be one when we arrived. Hotel is very overpriced for drinks. Breakfast is included but is only a pot of tea and a crossiant you are asked to tick which items you want ie butter/Nutella however we ticked this on the first night and the items were not included with the breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly and provided good advice on where to visit etc Quirks included using an iPad to turn the lights on and off. Bathroom very big, modern room on a whole.

We stayed here on two separate nights bookending our trip around Italy. It was perfectly located for all the things we wanted to see in Rome. Very thoughtfully designed rooms. We especially loved the ceiling speakers above the beds that minimized the need to turn up the TV loud and disrupt other guests. Service was also top-notch and very accommodating. We would definitely stay her again on any future trips to Rome.
