Just come back from an amazing stay in Rome, made even more special by the hotel we picked. The hotel is beautifully decorated to a boutique style, our room was amazing with modern twists like a tub built into the mirror and iPad controls lights and heating. The staff could not be any more helpful and offered lots of local...

Booked this on JETSETTER with high hopes, only to have them dashed by our entrance to old/unkept/not-so-clean grounds (dirty tiles on stairs, old patio furnishings, small cramped and unkept lobby). The room was interesting and had character and the hallways were well kept. The room bathroom was large, marble, and had the biggest bathtub (pool?) I've ever seen (couldn't get...

Disappointed to write this review but feel that other prospective guests of the hotel ought to be made aware: All in all, our whole party have been saddened by how much these issues impacted our stay - -Room 203: -The bathroom door would not shut for the duration of the stay - the lock was broken, the door slid open...

Our shopping bag was stolen from our room. We were silly enough to have the receipt from the clothes still in the shopping bag so I assume it must have been easy money for whoever from the hotel who took it. Upon complaining my partner and I have failed to get our money back, and the e-mail correspondance has been...

Our last stop of our Italian trip so we upgraded our room to have the extra comfort before flying home, worth every cent. A modern, fashion styled room with a massive bathroom/dressing room area (A huge luxury after the previous places). A fully automated room which does take a few clicks to work out. The position of the place is...

This hotel is fun, good location, tram & taxi only 1-2 mins walking. The problem is I had to climb a stair with my & my wife big luggages. When we got the room, it was good, clean and comfy. TV is hidden behind a mirror, all lights & entertainment are controlled by an ipad. My BIG COMPLAINT is the...

Breakfast is not what we expected, coffee and pasty and if you want more you have to pay. No tea/coffee not available at the hotel. No where to store anything apart from on hangers. Ended up living out of a suit case. The shower unit didn't have a shelf for toiletries so had to put them in the floor. The...

Was visiting a dear friend in Rome and she suggested this but going on line I was hesitant but booked anyway. It is very discreet but in a great neighborhood. A lot of charm and recommend room 201 A. Quiet, great bed, roomy, big bathroom with rain shower head and while it wasn't an even spray, more than adequate in...

A friend and I stayed here for 5 days and paid for a standard room. The first one we were given was small but lovely, however it was situated next to the bar and a staff room. Unfortunately as I am a very light sleeper I asked if we could change rooms and they upgraded us to a bigger standard...

Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
