At the end it all depends on what we really want. Things, gestures and feelings don't mean anything on their own. Luxury for example. Luxury, for us, is doing what we love doing. Luxury, they say, lies in what you can't pay for, because "there is only one real luxury, and that lies in human relations". (Antoine de Saint Exupery) So we have taken a 17th century residential building by Fontana di Trevi and we have converted it into six apartments to allow ourselves the luxury of doing what we love best, and to present you with the luxury of finding in Rome what wasn't there before: a living room surrounded by everything you might need to help you discover the hidden identity of this great city, or get to know it better. We are all perfectly aware that the best way to travel is to stay in a friend's place: one goes back home with a piece of the place we've been, with the feeling, however brief, of having become part of the local scene. This is what we have in mind: to be able to assist you with discretion in getting to know the most intimate corners of the city, introduce you to the more radical local traditions and suggest unlikely places where you can discover real Rome. Whether you're here on holiday, on business, for a meeting, a party or a wedding. Whether you wish to rent an apartment or the entire CasaCau, this will be a home for you, where you can feel truly spoilt. No lift.
A short trip to Rome and multiple rooms booked in this apartment building just up the lane from Trevi. We had a moment of ‘user error’ getting into one room as the instructions were clear but the door needed a wiggle to open. The other two were fine. Clean rooms with lovely decor and character. Views stunning of adjacent street life and local bars and restaurants literally on the doorstep. We were delighted with a breakfast delivery on the door in a beautiful bag. Really nicely done. We intend to return soon.

Wonderful experience at CasaCau! I stayed for two weeks in a charming corner apartment #5 – a tastefully designed and decorated one bedroom with very high ceilings, lots of ample space, a well-equipped kitchenette, a spacious sitting area, and a lovely bathroom stocked with Le Labo products. I loved the best quality Italian linens and towels. It is a renovated 18th century building, located within walking distance from the Trevi Fountain. The location is busy, but the apartment has soundproof windows with wooden shutters. The air conditioning was superb. The breakfast bag hanging on the doorknob every morning was filled with freshly baked bread, croissant, milk and eggs. The team was lovely. Thank you Pino and Zibi

What a wonderful, authentic and generous space to spend with family. With a well stocked kitchen, minibar and yummy breakfast delivered every morning it's difficult to leave, but when you do, you are central to many of Rome's attractions and great restaurants just next door.

What a wonderful apartment to stay in whilst visiting Rome. We had two rooms for our family of five and we all loved the contemporary space with decorative flare. The breakfast delivered daily was delicious. The location is fantastic, so close to Trevi Fountain, but with windows closed and covered the noises and morning light just disappear. Very relaxing place to stay. Highly recommend. The manager was fantastic too, very helpful with bookings.

Thoughtful host. Daily breakfast deliveries - customized to your preferences. Everything within steps - coffee, salumeria, restaurants, market, produce stand, laundry, touristy memorabilia shops - we picked up a deck of cards. Visit Trevi fountain without crowds at daybreak. We enjoyed the insulated windows, fabulous a/c, and spacious accommodation as well as the modern design, wonderfully un-fancy updates, and reminders - like the heavy wood doors - that we were in a 16th-century building. We walked almost everywhere - Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Campo di Fiori, Piazza Navona, Palazzo Bernini...

Great apartment in a fantastic location. Walkable to everything. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Very quiet too. Pino was so helpful- so responsive and helped with transportation, which he definitely didn’t need to do! I really recommend casacau.

Excellent location!! The apartment is very clean and kept in very good condition. The top floor apartment is spacious with a dining room as well. It is ideal for a couple or a family with kids. Every morning the staff provides a breakfast basket with fresh croissants, jams, eggs and milk. Would advise giving this a go.

Casacau exceeded all of our expectations and we will absolutely return - wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Rome ever again and have already told all of my friends and family the same. The location is perfect - steps from trevi fountain and a quick walk to all other major sites. We never needed a cab or public transportation - walked everywhere and there were plenty of shops nearby though the apartment had everything we needed. The apartments are spacious and beautifully decorated, with everything you could ever need. Felt like the perfect blend of a tasteful boutique hotel combined with a personal residence that I’d happily live in. A quiet escape from the city, casa Cau is really special and the breakfast of freshly baked pastries and breads were wonderful and such a lovely touch. Can’t say enough great things about Pino and his dedicated staff. A true gem in a special city - will absolutely return and can’t wait to do so. …

Staying in a location is far more than booking a room or apartment. Having local knowledge about where to eat l, what to visit, what to avoid are essential for a great stay. Pino and the team have first class apartments which are 2 minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain. They are clean, well equipped with high quality furnishings and safe and secure. You walk out the door right into the action of Rome, but the high quality double glazed windows mean the apartment remains quite. Even at the busiest times. We have an eight year old who was asleep in minutes despite being right above all the tourists. The quality and the apartments and their care for their guests makes Casacau the first place to consider when staying in Rome. Anything you need and Pino sorts it. They go way and above first class service. Kindness and stylish are two words to summarise our experience. Highly recommended.…

I had a pleasure to spend the last week of November in Rome at Casacau. This is the first time I ventured out of my familiar scene - hotel. Welcome to the 21st century to me 😅! Booking directly through Casacau.com, Pino has been very responsive since the time of my booking to checking-out. Although meeting only via WhatsApp, I am pleased to receive a warm welcome as well as an upgrade to the Master. What a pleasure to have a big living room and a kitchenette during the unexpectedly long stay! Also, I was guided through the check-in/out process per my comfort level. Everything went smoothly. Even my sudden request of extending stay was handled efficiently and with ease. Everyday I got to say Buongiorno to Zibi who is polite and kind. He brought me breakfast and can take care of any other needs at Casacau. Apart from the unmistakably great location, I slept comfortably well every night. Congratulations, Pino and team at Casacau! I am one of your many guests who are calling Casacau my home in Rome 😌 - Chantima…
