This wonderful guest house has been our preferred choice in Rome for a number of years. It is just a short walk from the Vatican and close to convenient bus lines. We returned in July, and were again well accommodated. Cristiano was most helpful in the process of making our reservation and once we arrived in Rome. We always returned... More

Spent 4 days here this week. The room, the location, the breakfast, and most importantly the outstanding service provided by Christian and his fellow staff members made our stay here in Rome most memorable. My balcony window boasting a view of St. Peter's dome was the icing on the cake! Highly recommended!!!

I spent two nights at this monastery, and highly recommend it. It is very close to the Vatican and located in a friendly neighborhood with shops and a nice local trattoria, Santa Vittoria, where you can dine al fresco on traditional Italian food - great people watching. The room itself was very simple, meticulously clean and very comfortable. It had... More

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at this hotel. It was very reasonably priced, the religious sisters and staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect if you plan to do a lot at the Vatican (museums, Wednesday general audience, tour St. Peter's, etc.). The atmosphere was quite and peaceful. Our room had... More

Really great location - simple, clean rooms. I liked this hotel a lot and the staff were really helpful and polite. The breakfast was of good quality and a good start to the day. Just a 3 minute walk to St Peter's Basilica.

Stayed here for four days. Couldn't be more convenient to the Vatican. This place was a convent/ bed and breakfast. The rooms are sparse but comfortable. the breakfasts are good but not much to choose from. Never seemed to be a problem. There is a bar in the lobby open until 11:00. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting close proximity... More

The location is outstanding--4 minute walk to St. Peter's. It is not a 5 star hotel, but it's extremely comfortable and clean. It's simple. It isn't the price of a 5 star hotel either though. Wifi was best late at night (past 10 pm) or early in the morning. The breakfast consists of croissants, apples, clementines, toast, and salami and... More

This isn't a five star hotel, but if you want somewhere clean, comfortable, with friendly staff, good food, a nice bar, free wifi and a central location, this is second to none. The people who run it are some of the nicest in the business and it's literally two minutes walk from St. Peter's Square. There are several good restaurants... More

But the manager arranged for accommodation across the street at Residenza Madri Pie. This spotlessly clean hotel is run by the church. So servers at breakfast and cleaners are nuns in full habits. Of course being almost next to St Peter's a lot of the guests are priests, nuns et cetera.

This is the third time I stayed here and a first for my friends. The English speaking staff were friendly and accommodating. Madri Pie is very safe and secure, about two blocks from the Vatican, and less than a block away from excellent restaurants and other small shops. The rooms are simple but reasonably priced and will accommodate 3 people... More
