We booked a room at the Residenza Luxury in Rome which is next door but due to overbooking(?) we ended up staying here. Pretty sure this hotel is nicer than where we booked so we felt like we got a good deal price wise. Our room was nice, much nicer than your average hotel rooms. Bathrooms were nice with a...

The hotel is well located and offers a good breakfast with a very nice rooftop view. The rooms are ok but the decoration is old and horrible. Too expensive for what it offers...I´m sure that there are better alternatives in Rome.

We spent 6 days at Hotel Romanico Palace and would have rated hotel good except the truck noise coming from Via Boncompagni at night. The view of the city is from this side of building so it is either noise or view. Can't have both. This road must be a main route for truck traffic into city. If you book...

The hotel is fine. Cheesy decor but clean and for the amount of time we were actually in the room it was fine. Only complaint was a strange noise at night. Like a faint sound of a radio but there was no radio in the room. We thought the static noise sounded creepy like the hotel was haunted.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
