I booked my honeymoon and this was one of the hotels we chose. First, they did not disclose they require a separate deposit. It was a nightmare trying to even give the deposit as it through an automated system in Italy. Then, come to find out, it is a self check in service. Again, NOT ADVERTISED! Finally they overbooked and cancelled my reservation without notifying me. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Dear Mr Arthur D, We would like to inform you that we never had you here at Corso 281 Luxury Suites as our guest. It is not in our habits to overbook and cancel the reservation. We did not understand what you said regarding the "separate deposit", because we don't ask for it. As regarding the check in, we would like to tell that we have a really specific and detailed procedure to do it, so the "self check in service" that you mentioned is impossible for us. We are worried that you left a review in a WRONG hotel's page. For these reason, we highly suggest you to cancel your comment regarding our hotel and leave a right one in the hotel you have been truly. Best Regards, The owner

Spent 3 nights here with two of my young daughters. Fabulous service from all the staff we met. The room was spacious, very clean and well equipped. The bed was super comfy in fact I would love to know the Make of the mattress if possible? Breakfast delivered daily to the room was always delivered at the time we requested and was very nice! Kids loved the little pots of Nutella! Brilliant location...can walk to all the main tourist attractions. If we come back to Rome we will definitely be staying here again!

The only perk of this hotel is location. Aside from that the service was disgraceful. Cold water!!! The last night of staying at this hotel. I was in the shower, only for the water to go freezing cold. My husband phoned reception to be advised that there was a boiler issue and to check again in 15minutes. 30 minutes later the water was still cold. My husband phoned down again only to be told that the engineer will be arriving the following morning and to wait till the morning to shower. Upon checkout we were advised that the hotel boiler did not have the capacity to offer hot water when alot of the rooms were showering at the same time! Extremely hot room- the temperature is controlled from reception and we had a sleepless night for all 4 nights due to the scorching temperature in the room! We were advised that the ac is switched off during the winter months! Housekeeping Extremely poor. Amenities were not topped up on a daily basis. There were flies in our room. Old mouldy fruit which hadn't been taken away. Breakfast requests were not listened too. Management were rude unhelpful and extremely defensive when we complained. Front office staff could not understand english properly Never again!!!

Dear Guest , as you can read in all other reviews posted from our guests , my answers always start thanking them for the time they spent on Tripadvisor leaving honest memories, suggestions and impressions of our hotel. I am doing the same today with you, even if for the first time we received a very negative review. First, I do apologize as the Corso 281 Luxury Suites Owner and General Manager, for the unfortunate experience you had with us and I really would like to better understand what we missed in our customer care satisfaction. My ideal is giving to all my guests a tailor made service focus on their requests. Me and my entire team take so much pride in our work and we spend all our single days to realize higher standards of excellence. They are the backbone of the hotel and without their excellent efforts; we would simply cease to exist. I am really apologize to have missed the opportunity to meet you during the inconvenient occurred, in order to provide you with the accurate solution to make your experience more comfortable. Once again with the promise to improve our attitude in service from our mistakes. I really wish you would take the time to contact me directly, so that we can speak about your unfortunate stay. Sincerely, Natalino Gisonna Owner and General Manager ngisonna@corso281.com

When we arrived in our (very cramped) room, we immediately noticed how dirty it was - there were even holes in the curtains. We then ordered room service, which was also terrible. We decided to leave in the morning and checked out. A few days we later found out that the hotel hadn't checked us out and charged us for the full four nights. They then claimed no knowledge and refused to refund anything. Totally dishonest. This hotel was the worst, I would never stay there again.
