An average hotel requiring a make over. Facilities are only standard with small showers making it difficult to move. Only one lift which does not stop at each level so you need to walk bewteen floors. Breakfast is average. Highlights - great location being across from Trevi Fountain and centrally located and walking distance to Colosseum adn St Peters.

The location of this hotel cannot be beat! It truly is right next to the Trevi Fountain (which is gorgeous) and within walking distance to many of the top sights in Rome - the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, etc. The metro and Termini Station are also very close, so getting around the city is very easy. The staff at the hotel... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, next to the Trevi fountain. Location is right in the heart of things, we liked it there. Breakfast was good, rooms were good, staff was good. I'm not going to say incredible and luxurious but I do feel there is value there with the room rate and especially the location. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend... More

Stayed here for a birthday, simply could NOT have enjoyed it more. Upgraded to a suite with a view of the fountain, which was huge and palatial with windows thick enough to block out the tourist sound when you didn't need it, but throw them open and you're sightseeing from bed. Location second to none, less than ten steps and... More

Booked two rooms for 5 night each, specifically requested two twin beds in each room as I was traveling with three adult grandchildren, and received confirmation of same by email. Arrived late to find out both rooms had been made up as king beds. Air conditioning not working in one room. Told the desk and was told I had requested... More

Nice clean and comfortable in a sensational location. Best view of the fountain from the roof top bar - lovely to start the day with breakfast on top of the world! Our room faced the back of the building and was very quiet for such a central location.

I honestly had high hopes for this hotel given the location (although loud and crowded). When we arrived it was too early to check in so we left our bags and wandered around the city. A few hours later, we checked in to a dark, dusty room. We discovered mold on the bathroom ceiling and were immediately disgusted (pictures below).... More

Pros: centrally-located; great rooftop terrace overlooking Trevi Fountain Cons: rooms are a bit dated; no real amenities there; wi-fi spotty; generally felt it overpriced. It was our first time in Rome, so don't honestly have anything to compare it to, but wasn't super impressed. Wouldn't return, but also wouldn't advise something against it. Just kind of meh

My wife and daughter stayed at Relais Fontana Di Trevi 5 years ago and loved it. So we booked in again; two rooms (double and a twin). We loved it. Very spacious rooms with good bathrooms. This hotel is small, a bit quirky and is only about 20 paces from the beautiful Trevi Fountain. Also short walks to Pantheon and... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the Relais Trevi Fountain RomeWelcome to the Relais Trevi Fountain in the historical centre of Rome, the ideal accommodation for an unforgettable romantic break in one of the world’s oldest and most spellbinding cities. Our luxury rooms & suites in the historical centre of Rome has undergone recent refurbishment to make it an immaculate yet personable accommodation in which you can set your mind at ease and make the most out of the cityThe Trevi FountainOne of Rome’s most popular landmarks and probably the most famous fountain in the world, the stunning Fontana di Trevi was immortalised in the 1960 classic Fellini film La Dolce Vita, starring Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Ekberg - who famously frolics in the fountain on a balmy Roman night. Needless to say, frolicking in the fountain today will probably land you with a hefty fine to pay, but if you can resist diving in, this beautiful Renaissance masterpiece is generally regarded as one of Rome’s most romantic spots. Our LocationTaking our name from the fountain, which is just a few metres away from the entrance to our luxury rooms & suites, the Relais Fontana di Trevi puts guests deep in the cobble-stoned heart of renaissance Rome, with other landmarks such as the Spanish Steps and Piazza Barberini within easy walking distance. ... more   less
