The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and maintained daily. There was a surplus of towels and toiletries. It is a long hike to the hotel it's on the 5th floor but there is a small elevator to accommodate those who need a lift. We were on the 6th floor (a floor above check in) and... More

It is a very good and safe neighborhood very close of a metro station, restaurants and multiple snack stores. Is the perfect place for have a nice bed, leave your luggage and meet Rome. The breakfast is very "European", sweet croissant and coffee.

This seemed like a family owned hotel. The lady was nice but spoke very little and smiled seldomly. She was very helpful though. Breakfast tickets are provided to a little cafe just across the street. Our room and bathroom were very clean. This hotel is 8 min walk from Roma Termini so it is very convenient. The only drawback is... More

the hotel want to specify that the elevator is working, but sometimes people don't close the internal and external doors. The problem is easily solved calling the hotel by phone on the street and the staff will take care of closing the doors. We don't give discount if there is not a real problem. The payment in cash is an... More

Service: people unpolite since we arrive until we leave. Occurences: 1) Day we arrived , lady said we need to pay cash since the price was very good (reserved on hotels.com). I checked later and realized that I had paid hotel already, before arrival, so nonsense request. And they need to inform you in advance if you have to pay... More

The customer arrived at the hotel very late, out of reception time, and the lady waiting for him simply told him to check at the reception next morning if he reserved with especial rate "ONLY CASH" (the hotel put this option on line and always remember to its customer) or not. In case of prepaid booking with Hotels.com, the hotel... More

The hotel is nicely located. The price is afordable and the general conditions very good. It is clean and warm. Good for tourists of all kinds. The only problems we had was the Internet. It was not sufficient enough to check information about Rome or to buy a ticket online. TV fans might be also a bit disappointed. We reccommend... More

I've stayed at Hotel Katty twice now, once in July 2013 and then last week as well, and I think it's great for the price! Close enough to walk to Termini station. It's clean, air conditioned, and very spacious, and the price of the room includes a simple breakfast across the street. It doesn't claim to be anything more than... More

Thank you for the general good review. We want to specify that every customer can find into the bathroom a small bar of soap and a sachet of shower gel, and we put them every day if the customer use them. More

Hotel Katty is exactly what it says it is, a 1 star hotel that will provide a private rom and bathroom. The room was fine, and clean, we stayed with a trip of 5 people. The hotel was right around the corner from a taxi stop, and not too far walking distance from other attractions. Would go back for another... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
