We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights from Sunday to Thursday. The hotel is a perfect location close to the colosseum and Roman forum. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and accommodating! The shower was very small that would be my only criticism. There was also a lovely little pizzeria behind the hotel and an amazing creperie down the... More

Hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The rooms are tiny but it's an old hotel in an old city so it's what I expected. Many people commented on the shower being small and they were right, if you drop anything you have to get out to pick it up. The breakfast is the usual continental fare but nice.

Ideal location for seeing most of the sights that Rome has to offer. Friendly and helpful staff. Single rooms so small and pokey that it feels unpleasant to stay in them. One of the single rooms didn't even have curtains! The showers we saw in the double and single rooms were so small that you had to open the screens... More

The location is fantastic, a less than 15 minute walk to the train station and is located on a quiet street. There is loads of restaurants outside the hotel and is just 2minute walk to a great fountain where locals and tourists gather at night and have a drink together. The hotel is also a great base to set off... More

This is a wee gem of a hotel with really helpful staff, who speak excellent English, it has simple but spotlessly clean rooms and great air-conditioning. It's a 1 minute walk to Via Cavour metro station, a 10 minute walk to the Coliseum and on its doorstep are many restaurants and bars. It also feels like a safe area and... More

Great little hotel in an excellent location... We stayed here for four nights on a sightseeing trip to Rome. Our room was on the third floor. Basic room with air con (which was most welcome)> The room was on the small side but not a problem as we were out all day. The only problem was the bathroom. It was... More

We have stayed in hotel Ivanhoe for 3 nights in the beginning of August and we really loved it ) Location is perfect, close to everything, even if you would like to catch metro, it is literally 7 min walking, Colosseum is about 15 minutes walking etc. In the room is enough space for two people, bathroom with shower, toiletries... We stayed at the Hotel Ivanhoe for 5 nights and returned on 25th July. We were here purely for a holiday. This hotel is excellent! It's less than 10 minutes from the Colosseum and takes you 10 minutes to walk the main Termini train station. A very good central location. The hotel itself is great, the staff were all very... We stayed 12 days there while visiting Rome. The location is perfect as most major sites and the train station are within an easy 15 to 30 minute walk. And for the sites that aren't, the hotel is down the road from Carvour Metro stop (going towards the termini station, coming from the termini station the station is up the... More

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt.
