Location is excellent within 5 min you food , supermarket and metro and bus stops. Christina was very helpful , professional and caring , taking care of our needs. Veronica our host friendly and provided helpful information. The apartment is spacious for 3 of us , with a toddler. Washing machine was a life saver especially for us as we been travelling a lot. We didnt do any cooking.
Suite Beccaria is ideally situated and very comfortable. Near Metro connections, and easy walking to many of the major sites to visit. Great restaurants close by. Loved our stay, and the breakfast served to our room was always fresh and included great coffee however we requested. The joy of staying here was meeting Kristina. What a wonderful asset she is to this B&B. Anytime back in Rome, this is where we will be !
Very comfortable and the location could not be more convenient (less than 5 minutes from Metro and Piazza del Populo). Staff very friendly and helpful. Have stayed at Beccaria about 6 times over the years.
Nice room, good bathroom comfortable bed. Good location close to metro and tram. Breakfast of juice, coffee, toast and pastries was ok. Happy to recommend this B & B style establishment, and would use again
Suite Beccaria was very nice. The room was clean and nicely decorated, along with an updated bathroom. Breakfasts were delivered to our room each morning and the croissants were delicious. Out of the 5 places we stayed while in Italy, Suite Beccaria was by far the nicest.
Caterina let us in to the ‘suites’ when we rang her and we met her later the same day to check in- that was all easy and she was very friendly and helpful. Although the block the three suites are in isn’t in a great state of repair (there was however work being done) the suite and area it’s in was lovely. I wouldn’t however call it a ‘suite’ as it’s a bedroom and bathroom. Both were very clean and comfortable; we didn’t spend that much time there as we weren’t in Rome to stay in our room! Breakfast, as other reviewers stated is very small, but filled a gap. Bed and particularly the pillows were VERY comfortable! Great central location, I would recommend this room.
We chose this lodging because it was affordable and close to Piazza del Popolo where we were catching our City Wonders tour to Pompeii. Just a 10 minute walk from the Flamino subway station, and even closer to a supermarket, this worked out perfectly for us. Comfortable bed and best pillows anywhere. Only glitch, when we returned from our last morning of site seeing an hour before checkout our room was already made up and open with the keys lying on the desk. This led to me forgetting to take my keys out of my pocket and leave them, so I had to mail them back. We threw coins in the Trevi fountain so we're returning to Rome and we'll be staying at the Becarria next time too for sure, an authentic Roman experience.
Although we never got a chance to stay here, I could not be more critical of it. We booked B&B for a special occasion last week, after spending a number of weeks searching for what we thought was the ideal place to stay. We received an email confirming our booking last week. however we have now received an email saying that they have no rooms available and they "hope to welcome you in Suite Beccaria next time". Disgusted with this treatment, especially after submitting credit card details and receiving confirmation of booking via email. We have called every available number for the B&B and not once has a phone been answered. Shocking treatment
We arrived at check in time and no one was there to meet us so I rang management, Caterina and was told that I did not have a reservation and then she hung up on me. I called back and let her know that I had fully paid for our accommodation and that I either need a full refund or a room. Hung up on me again! So then I contacted the online booking service who contacted the suites and Caterina came around and realised that we did have a reservation and that it was fully paid for so then we spent the next couple of days being shunted back and forth from one apartment to another as our room had been let to someone else. Talk about a lack of this organisation! it was terrible and in the end we decided to take matters into our own hands and we booked another hotel and paid for it ourselves. So my recommendation is, stay at Hotel Stendhal; much closer to things and the best service, breakfasts and a quality hotel. No double booking here or rudeness. This should never have happened it cost us money for new a hotel and taxis back and forth to places. if you are going to stay at this place make sure you have a room available when you arrive. And when we returned home I found out that we were hit with an additional 195euros and for what? I would never ever stay at this place again. Incidentally, the online booking service refunded our money; accommodation costs AND the 195 euros that were charged for no apparent reason. The suites were contacted so they could be given the chance to explain themselves and the extra charge imposed and according to the online booking service, the suites have not provided explanations. Hotel Stendhal for me anyday!…
We spent a couple of nights in this B&B and we could said ourselves satisfied. Rooms and especially the hall should be renovated but they are comfortable and very clean. Bathrooms are perfect. A bit ovepriced since breakfast is minimal and there are no further services. Recommended anyway.
