Marco, the owner was very kind to us from the beginning of our mail conversations regarding the booking. It was a pleasure meeting him. The room was spacious, very nice, very clean and with a private bathroom and balcony....

We recently stayed at Maison Genevois for 5 nights. Our first visit to Rome, the directions given made getting there easy. We bused from Ciampino Airport then on to A Metro line to Lepanto, the apartment was only then a few minutes walk away. Marco was there for our arrival, offering a warm and friendly welcome . He showed us...

We had a lovely 3 night stay, Marco the owner was fantastic and so helpful from emailing directions and meeting us there to suggesting local places to visit and giving tips on getting around. The room was lovely, we had a great little balcony and though it was unseasonably cool and wet we enjoyed breakfast out there each day planning...

My wife and daughter stay 11 night for a medical trip to Rome and Belgrade. Very good location. Walking distance to the Vatican. Small, convenient kitchen with very good espresso coffee machine. The breakfast was not that good and it was self served on the room. At the beginning of march there were not many people at the B&B but...

My husband & I stayed at Maison Genevois 3 B&B in April 2011. This B&B is located in an apartment building in the Prati section of Rome just north of Vatican City. It is a lovely neighborhood convenient to the Metro & 2 bus routes; the #30 bus takes you into the historic center & the #280 into Trastevere. Marco,...

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
