I stayed in Buonanotte Garibaldi and was impressed by the lovely room and lounge, the nice tea that I was served at arrival, the musiv, the lovely paintings and art of Louisa that is for sale. Breakfast was good and I slept like a log in the bed. The rooms were quiet, although we were in Trastevere, and I loved...

Buonanotte Garibaldi delivers beyond any expectation, it is a small 3 room hotel that makes you feel like staying at somebody's private home. The owner is a charming and very helpful host directing you through one of the very greatest towns on earth.

We began our stay in a room off the patio which was small but lovely. It is true that the only view of the patio was through the glass doors, but that was acceptable to us. The rooftop room we ended our stay in was, yes, small, but well engineered, with steps up to the bathroom. The huge gardened terrace...

I felt compelled to write a review because our experience was so wildly different than the bulk of reviews on here and thought it would be helpful for people to have information I wish we'd known when booking. We had done a ton of research before making our reservation, and were so disappointed that the Buonanotte Garibaldi was not what...

Dear Mrs. Charlotte M, thank you for taking time in reviewing us. It is fairly disappointing to read that your experience with us was not so charming as expected. Following our response to the critiques you've pointed out: First of all, our Tinto room, one of ours most loved and well reviewed, is a double room with a king size...

Thank you Louisa and your son for the beautiful Roman experience you provided us with! It was amazing to be looked after in such a beautiful area of the centre of Rome. Our room was peaceful and gorgeous, elegantly designed by the owner and the service personalised. Highly recommended!

What a nice little (3 rooms) luxury B&B smack dab in the center of Trastevere. Very nice albeit small rooms, fantastic courtyard, nice breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended! They helped with restaurant recommendations, parking, and reservations.

Very nice small B&B with only 3 rooms Via Garibaldi..very well located with many very good restaurants around. the service is very nice and welcoming. However, it is clearly overpriced even if we are in Roma. 3 points are not at the level of the price they are requesting.. - The bed is very poor..very low standard, - The breakfast...

Dear Mr. Matthieu2207, thank you for taking time to review Buonanotte Garibaldi. While we are glad you were satisfied with both our location and service, we are sorry you were disappointed with the above 3 points. Our mattresses (2mx2m) were handmade by one of the best and most reliable companies in Tuscany, and they are inspected monthly. Moreover, the mattress...

This place is really special. Just 3 rooms so it is like living in a small house of yourself. Breakfast is eaten with the few other guests around a round table. Very nice. Rooms are big and comfortable. Lies in a quite part but still just 100 m to walk to the busy streets of Trastevere

It is our third visit to this wonderful hotel and we love it. Private, Cousy, well located and great service. We feel very much at home and certainly we will return in a near future. Highly recommended if you need quietness.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
