Hotel Rosetta is a nice place for the price and location. It is by no means grand, but you get what you pay for. Had a twin room with ensuite bathroom overlooking (sometimes noisy/always smoky) courtyard. Maid service daily, internet a block away, close to Colosseum, walking distance to Trevi and to a Metro stop. Always felt safe in the... More

This is not a bad option for the price, but you can do better. The room was old but clean, no breakfast or internet. The location is good - near Coliseu, Fontana di Trevi, subway. Our problem was the owners - we booked 4 nights, but on the third we decided to leave in the next day. The night before,... More

We stayed in Rosetta hotel in Rome for 2 nights in the end of October. I must say that it was an excellent choice in terms of location, cost, staff and sanitary. First - the location of course. Just a few minutes away from the Roman Forum and the Colleseum. 10 minutes away from Piazza Venezia and you can calculate... More

We (Me and my wife) stayed at Hotel Rosetta for 3 nights. Family own/run hotel makes it friendly. Not like a typical commercialized hotel. Via Cavour is located heart of the City. Roman Forum and The Colosseum or Roman Coliseum are virtually located virtually a stone throw away. Rooms are not fantastic, but good enough for people who just want... More

We were at the Hotel Rosetta for a family wedding - the family owned and run hotel is very basic as the price of €90 per room per night would indicate. Family members were lovely and very helpful - thank you Franchesca. Room was kept very clean - no meals provided or coffee/tea, no safe or hairdryer, but you would... More

Location, location, location! Great value for a great location. Our trip to Rome lasted only 2 nights, so we didn't spend much time at the hotel. It was perfect for us-- a good night's sleep and a clean restroom. We found the hotel through the Let's Go Italy book and were able to e-mail the hotel directly for a reservation.... More

We stayed at the Hotel Rosetta two nights in July. We had booked a four bed room, but got a double with two extra beds. No space to move, no daylight through the window due to close housewall, minibathroom where shower and toilet were almost in the same place. Strange plastic covers under sheets, which gave a very uncomfortable feeling... More

Hotel Rosetta, aside from it's prime location near the Colosseum and right next to the Cavour metro stop, was affordable and the service was wonderful! The four of us arrived ready to settle into our quad, the room wasn't ready so they gave us a better quad than what we had reserved for the same price. We came back a... More

I am currently still here 18/6/08 (night 3 of 4 night stay). I am very happy with the room they put me in, 60 euros per night for a single though it has a queen size bed and own toilet and shower. With aircond. If I poke my head out of window i can just see the Colloseum which is... More

Hotel Rosetta is located very close to the Coliseum and other major sights in the middle of Rome all within walking distance and this was why we wanted to stay here. The rooms are very clean, if not small, but really we were more interested in an affordable option that would allow us to have a good night's sleep at... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
