Very professional & helpful staff, great food with a great rooftop, and really nice rooms in a great location to tour Rome. Full breakfast was included in our rate and it was delicious. The room was smallish but nicely furnished, super clean and included turn-down service.
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel which is a much nicer place to stay than its facade, decor, and address promise. The front desk staff were amazing - going above and beyond in a family emergency. I can’t praise them enough. The waitstaff at breakfast were delightful. The rooms were comfortable with great linens, lovely firm beds and a selection of pillows.. The bathrooms were perfect with great water pressure, a hand held and a rain shower. So why didn’t I give it a five? The lobby bar never opened during our four day stay and the lobby was dark and choppy rather than cozy, which was probably just as well because the American soft rock and jazz were played at a volume that made sitting there unpleasant. Since the rooms were supplied with only one stingy low uncomfortable chair, the only place to congregate was the roof deck (more about the roof restaurant later) which was accessible by only one of the hotel’s two tiny rickety elevators. I understand that older buildings often have tiny elevators but these had problems during the length of our stay. I mentioned the decor earlier which really detracted from the appearance of the rooms. The attempt at decor edginess was neither stylish nor complementary to the hotel architecture. Please just paint over the big auto graphics. The view is pretty nice from the roof but I would not recommend eating there. The roof staff were complete opposites to the rest of the hotel staff. Slow, unhelpful and not particularly nice. We agreed that the food was the dullest and most pretentious of all the restaurants we visited in Rome. That all sounds pretty negative but I might just return anyway because after all a really comfortable (except for the chair) room and attentive helpful staff are the measure of a good hotel. Dinner can be had elsewhere.…
good location. Average rooms. Service average. We did not spend too much time there and the Rooftop Terrace Restaurant was nice but the fish was full of bones. I think the hotel needs a bit of updating although there was nothing wrong with it.
I stayed here for two nights in September. Hotel Indigo is very centrally located. The room was perfectly appointed. The hotel has a roof top bar with views, and is excellent for an apertivo at the end of a long day sightseeing. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, in particular the girls at breakfast, Roberto, Emiliano and Orietta at reception, and Marco on the rooftop bar. I was visiting Rome with Italian friends. We hadn’t booked a place for lunch and dinner on Friday and Roberto and Emiliano ensured we ate at places which weren’t too turisty. The breakfast is included and worthwhile. There were only two cereals (coco pops and cornflakes) available the days I went down. I’d suggest that a healthier option such as muesli be inserted into the mix. You can have anything off the a la carte menu and I recommended that. I also took advantage of the included SPA treatment which was perfect!…
Perfect location to visit Rome by foot or bus. Hotel staff is very caring - special mention to breakfast service ladies, friendly and always helpful to have a great start in the day! Bed quality outstanding and worth mentionning. Size of hotel also nice, not too big.
This is the most amazing hotel, the staff were excellent particularly on check in, got an grade to a premium room which was gorgeous and had a free minibar !! Rooftop bar and restaurant were fab, food and service was excellent. On top of all this the hotel location is amazing you can walk anywhere day or night this will be my go to hotel in Rome .. amazing !
Great service and amenities. The Roman bath was very relaxing after a day of exploring. Very close to the Vatican and Trastevere. The breakfast options were very expansive. And recommend cocktails on the roof. We would stay again.
From check in to checkout, everything was great. Got our luggage to room while we had lunch on rooftop. Refrigerator items complimentary. Rooftop bar was amazing at night. Located on quiet street. Would highly recommend.
We were delighted with our choice of Hotel indigo. We decided to try something new, had not been to Rome for 12 years and loved the location. The hotel interior is modern, sleek, and trendy but with terrific details, like the Fiat murals, and soothing muted colors. The size of our room was a happy surprise! It was spacious by Rome hotel room standards with a beautiful roomy bathroom, plush chair, desk, and extremely comfortable bed. Also of note, it is well air conditioned, we even turned the thermostat up it was so cool on very hot days! The staff is gracious and very efficient. Breakfast selections were excellent, and although somewhat pricey, but if you aren’t eating a lot, they make it a la carte. Bring a bathing suit, I somehow missed the fact that they had a gorgeous spa with a Beautiful Roman Bath! There is a small gym with a treadmill, elliptical, bicycle, and some free weights. We used it a few times, Rome is a walking city so that was most of our workouts. Plenty of fabulous restaurants in walking distance!…
The Hotel Indigo was the perfect spot for our Rome vacation! Classy, eclectic, modern. Our room had an outdoor terrace, beautiful marble bathroom, and fun art. The hotel features a rooftop restaurant and bar and outdoor courtyard for breakfast. Orietta Ragazzoni took extra good care of our every need. Five stars!
