just finished a brilliant stay at irooms pathenon. easy check in on line with updates throughout the days before.rooms were very clean and slightly eccentric !made up each day with free soft drinks and snack mini bar filled up .the location is amazing as only 10 -15 mins away to all the main visitor sites .gina the host was amazing .she sorted out our little hiccups with the room technology and arranged our transfer back to the airport for us .even though we would be missing the in room breakfast she arranged for a box to be delivered early to reception so we could have a quick bite to eat .overall I would not hesitate to book here again
The location of the place itself is confusing to find but once you do find it the process for check in was easy. We had to message/call ahead (24 hours) prior to arriving. Our room was ready and at first it was trendy and fun but it slowly lost its luster. We had the circular bed which was clearly coming off the wall, whoever decided to have a bed held by bolts must’ve weighed very little. We hardly wanted to move, my husband is over 200lbs and we thought he would break it. Every time we moved the bed squeaked loudly and shook and the amount of times I hit my legs on that bar in the middle getting up I couldn’t even count. The shower was great a large circular shower, but it took us a bit to figure out how to work it and the top free slow portion That’s meant to have it come down like rain didn’t work. The bathroom itself felt unclean especially around the sink. It was close to all attractions and a taxi stand which is nice. No front desk staff most of the time because it’s not quite a hotel per se. We didn’t mind our stay but we were absolutely ready to leave and move on to the next hotel on our journey. Also there was nothing to sit on except a single yoga ball, weird choice.…
Really the room was badly styled, musty, smelly, old and tacky…. I do not understand the high rating they have. I guess if you’re a student travelling on the cheap it would be okay. But really, if you’re a grown up with some money in your pocket - AVOID AVOID AVOID
We had a fantastic time in these tastefully decorated rooms right in the center of Rome. Every time you can choose a room with a different theme and enjoy the impeccable design and first class host. Breakfast was delicious too! All in all, my go to place in Rome!
The location is great. Walking distance to all the major attractions including the Vatican. It’s a special hotel experience but don’t have to high expectations. The room is worn and quite noisy. Cleaning could be better with hair left in the shower and in the glases in the bathroom upon arrival. Annoyingly dim room with no possibility to light it up if you wish. Nice with free water and sodas everyday. Breakfast was really poor and we told them not to bring us any after the first day. Water pressure is up and down, mostly down, and it can be a bit hard to rinse out the schampoo. Bring your own amenities. The included body wash soap is no good. Also the projector in the IMovie room broke down on us the last day. When it worked it was a very pixly image projected directly on the wall and the picture didn’t quite fit the wall without having the keystone settings distorted which made the whole picture lean backwards like a Star Wars intro text. Friendly and helpful staff but you need to have WhatsApp to communicate with them. Didn’t find the reception until it was checkout time 😃…
Beautifully decorated with all of the amenities. Coffee and pastries in the morning for breakfast . Walking distance to most of Rome attractions. Comfortable bed. Very helpful staff Will definitely be back.
Nice staff, close to the Pantheon and everything around. Order your breakfast in the evening and get it served on the terrace. We will choose this hotel also the next time in Rome. Each room has a different theme. Use the Internet to choose your theme.
Superb location. A beautiful big room with a huge shower with chromotherapy and a big 3d smart television. You have a big variety of choice for breakfast that is brought to your room at the time of your choosing. Awesome bed and soft pillows. 200% recommended.
The designer of these rooms must have been on acid. Our first room 'wild' had a really low bed really little more than a matrass on the floor, a shower with no towel hooks and a strip light that changed colour. Also extremely noisy room aspect and a musty odour of stale dampness. We changed room on day two and were given 'Cube' a room with a not quite so low bed with integrated TV (no international channels) solo Italiano as they say. A shower with red and blue lights at ankle height and a hand held showerhead with two shower strips above the two corner seats, cramped toilet, wash basin and bidet on the other side of the room.Breakfast is not provided in a dining room but brought to the room, in a normal situation a nice touch here though just torturous due to small uncomfortable seating and small table.Tea and coffee is proviin capsule form with a Nespresso machine extra can be purchased ar 1€ (I expect unlimited coffee at breakfast which is the norm in reasonable lodgings. Hand towels were not provided on day 2 staff promised to deliver later they didn't. Surprisingly this accommodation has mostly positive reviews (fake?). I booked with Secret Escapes (not for the first time) but at the price I should have booked straight in at the Hilton. The one positive for this accommodation is it's very central location within easy reach of the sights.…
I went straight from a long weekend wedding in Tuscany to stay at iRooms for a week; it was the perfect decision. I had never been in Rome, and the location was perfect for every single attraction i wanted to check out. I stayed in iSpa and had a lovely large jacuzzi, rain shower and everything you want to relax with after walking through the amazing city for a few hours. Daily breakfast delivered to the room at the time of your choice made the stay even better. TV w/ Netflix made a relaxed evening in the hotel great too. Would definitely recommend, and should be great for couples!
