Stayed here in 2010, so did not hesitate about staying here again. Were not disappointed. Staff very friendly, helpful and courteous. Rooms good size, clean but could stand some updating. As in previous reviews good selection of food for breakfast. Hotel centrally located, close to Termini so makes it handy to Metro as well as buses. Would definitely stay here... More

Very good location adjacent to Rome Opera building and easy walking distance to all major attractions and sites. Reasonably easy few minutes walk from Roma Termini even with luggage. Hotel reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Carpet is very shabby (dirty), especially around stairs and creates a very bad first impression. Single room small but adequate. Good bathroom. Breakfast continental... More

Really enjoyed our stay here and if we come to Rome again we would not hesitate to stay here again. Friendly staff which made the trip for us. Alberto greeted us by name whenever he saw us and gave us some great tips, advice and restaurant recommendations. Very tasty pastries for breakfast. As has been mentioned on other reviews, the... Well-located 2 minutes' walk from Repubblica metro station and buses on Via Nazionale. Easy walk to Termini and you can walk to the Trevi fountain etc. The rooms are fine - we paid 60 euros a night for a double and it seemed reasonable value. All clean and service was good. Two things let the hotel down: the wifi was... More

Stayed here with a friend in June for our first ever trip to Rome. Chose this hotel mainly based on low cost and central location and i'm so glad we did. For the price you pay it is so close to major sites and also the termani train station. Termani is less than a 10 min walk away which is... More

This hotel was ok, carpets need replacing!!!! The room was spacious, shower the best, bed was comfortable! The air conditioning did not work, which was an issue as it was warm when we were there! Great location, walk to the Termini, and metro. Very easy to get around Rome either walking or metro. Close to shopping and lots of restaurants.... More

Within easy walking distance from Roma Termini Station in the center of Rome. Had considered buying metro/bus tickets, but the sights we wanted to see were nearby--Quirinal Palace, Palazzo Colonna, Santa Maria della Vittorio, Capitoline Museum, Museum of Rome, even the Coliseum. The desk staff were friendly, spoke English, and very accommodating. Our room (208) was large with closet space.... More

Really central place to stay. Nice staff that made you feel welcome and at breakfast you could get a nice cappuccino. All major attractions are within walking distance if you are ok to walk more than 10 minutes :-)

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
