We only stayed one night before leaving to come back to the U.S. but we all commented that if we ever came to Rome again, we would definitely stay here! Large apartment. Close to St. Peter's and all Rome has to offer! Elevator was small but stairs were wide. Stay ground level if you have wheelchair needs.

Stayed with married daughter, son and their families- 6 adults, 7 children in two apartments. Children loved downstairs recreation area. Staff were friendly and helpful depending on who was on. Free wifi worked well and great having laundry facilities downstairs. Only drawback was homeless people living in park outside our window- harmless but not very pleasant to see and sometimes... Had a wonderful stay here while in Rome. It was a great set up, had all the amenities you need and a kitchen. The hotel is very close to the Vatican and has east access to the metro. It was fairly noisy is the mornings with outside construction and the line up to speak to the staff downstairs in the... More

Our family of 6 stayed only one night at the Trianon before our cruise to visit the Colosseum and Vatican. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath + kitchen was great. Modern amenities and you couldn't ask for a better location. Close to the Vatican and restaurants, it was a pleasant surprise that for us. For a managed condo/residence, it was well-run.... More

Great service from front desk staff, nice room spectacular location. Near Vatican, shopping and restaurants all easy walking distance. The place has great character and charm, but the location is it's best feature.

We rented a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 nights in early September. The apartment building is in a quiet back street in a pleasant and safe area approximately 10 minutes walk from the Vatican. Opposite is a small square where a handful of homeless people hang out but they were no trouble. There is a small mini market on the... More

You never know what you're going to get with Europe hotels but this one blew our expectations away - 2 minutes to the Vatican, lots of restaurants etc around, beautiful, clean and spacious 2-bedroom apartments with full kitchens, a/c and great front desk staff. And we only paid $100 for the night on an Expedia deal! Can't say enough good... More

Went to Rome for 3 nights with my daughter. Got to hotel easily using shuttle service from airport. Reception is a bit odd - in a room downstairs rather than a desk at the entrance but staff very helpful. Hotel clean, lifts worked well. Room was lovely - comfy bed, excellent air conditioning, a lovely balcony to eat breakfast on... More

Excellent location. Great value for money. People in reception was great. We were a family of 5 persons, and we stayed for 2 nights. Apartment had all we needed, and in the hotel's vicinity you can find supermarkets, like COOP for instance, with all you need. Many restaurantes are just "next door", with very good prices.

Really great location, 15 mins walk from the metro , 5 mins from the Vatican. Quiet. Lovely service from reception with maid and info. Only downside. Expedia state 0830 checkin it's not, but you can leave your bags and head out. On the last day able to leave bags , head out and collect later. Would definitely stay again! Just... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
