I can't add anything to all the positive reviews of this small hotel. In many trips to Rome, I have stayed in less expensive hotels, hotels with larger rooms & larger public rooms. I have not stayed in a hotel with better service or a better location. The rooftop terrace for breakfast & afternoon glass of wine was also very... More

I can honestly say that everything that the Portrait team do they do amazingly well. The service is world class. The hotel itself is central, immaculately clean and has the most wonderful roof terrace. The iPads that guests are provided with are invaluable. Nothing is too much trouble. My 9 year old daughter was very well catered for as well.... More

This marks our third visit to Portrait Roma and fourth to a Lungarno hotel ( visited Florence as well ) my mother and I particularly enjoy to visit in the summer months as you can enjoy breakfast on the terrace, however as it was October it was too cold for this although the in room dining option for breakfast is... We were lucky enough to stay in this beautiful hotel for 4 nights in the early June. It is small and intimate with special touches that make you feel very comfortable and spoiled. The hotels position is perfect-close to everything . The rooms are fitted out with everything Ferregamo which is gorgeous. The room had a spacious marble bathroom with... More

Ideally situated, beautifully furnished, fabulous staff - this was a perfect base from which we could explore Rome. Situated close to the Spanish Steps, and an easy walk to all the main attractions, the friendly staff are able to advise on and help organise a variety of activities if you wish. We stayed here for four days and were so... More

From the greeting to the checkout this place was unforgettable. All the staff was so gracious, friendly and extremely helpful. These folks are well informed and were able to trouble shoot any minor issue that arose during our trip. Small, but beautiful rooftop terrace for breakfast and snacks/cocktails later in the evening with stunning views of Medici Palace and Spanish... More

Amazing hotel property! beautiful doors/rooms/elevator/patio/bathroom……everything was just BEAUTIFUL! knowing we have a two yrs old toddler traveling with us, they prepared toys, balloons, a dining chair, and a Steiff bear bath towel for her in-room. the staff are quite helpful however there always seems to be a trainee next to the main staff who would either give you wrong info... Portrait Roma is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and definitely enhanced my trip to Rome. The location is excellent, in the middle of a great shopping district and just steps away from the Spanish Steps. The room was perfectly designed and beautiful. The staff was amazing! Even before we arrived, they were incredibly helpful in setting... More

This is an extraordinary hotel that combines beauty, service and location. The rooms are exceptional in design and space. The staff cannot do enough for you, extremely helpful. Breakfast of good quality and the setting is spectacular overlooking the city. I wish there were more hotels of this caliber.

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
