By far one of the best hotels we've stayed in. Location perfect (just near Spanish Steps) Staff incredibly kind, attentive, helpful, welcoming, etc. The rooftop view for breakfast or a cocktail is perfect. Absolutely have a golf cart tour with Thomas. My wife had a broken ankle so we decided this was a great way to see the sites of Rome and it did not disappoint. Thomas' love and pride of Rome clearly shines. Alessandro, was our main contact with concierge and made the perfect recommendations, and provided fantastic assistance during our stay. All of the other staff who's names escape me truly define hospitality as well. We are figuring out our return as I write this.

By far, one of the most pleasant experiences that I have had travelling. My third stay here in Rome and each has been a delight. Staff is friendly and approachable and extremely efficient. The hotel is small, but simply feels like a residence where you are acknowledged as long time friend. Location is also absolutely perfect. Looking forward to the opening of their Milan property!

One of Rome's finest hotels, and must surely be one of the best hotels in the world. The hotel and its offerings are aimed at discerning clientele, and the luxury of the hotel and the professionalism of its staff stand out. The rooftop bar/eating area is really a showstopper and offers sensational views - it truly is the perfect place to enjoy a sunset and a good glass of wine or cocktail. The staff at the hotel are especially excellent and are of the very highest level.

More of a house with amazing staff than a hotel, Portrait Roma combines the most central location with excellent soundproofing and an attention to detail that is second to none. Everything that annoys me about hotels had been thought about: a magnifying mirror that I could move to a daylight position for make-up; completely black-out curtains; quiet air conditioning; luxurious toiletries that included things we'd forgotten like floss, the world's most comfortable bed. Breakfast in the room was delicious and beautifully presented - do I need a little cloche over my butter? Probably. The rooftop terrace feels like a secret oasis, with such perfect drinks and nibbles that we almost cancelled our dinner reservation to stay there. The hotel booked three restaurants for us, and it was clear from the welcome that their bookings are valued. For a private, special weekend, this is the perfect hotel.

This charming boutique hotel is my favorite by far in the eternal city. I have visited it twice just in 2021 alone. Even with the pandemic, I felt safe with the cleaning standards of the hotel. This review is for both of my stays - Once in September and once in December. Both times I was upgraded to beautiful rooms and in December I even got a balcony with amazing views of the city! Francesca and Veronica really took good care of me and make sure my stay goes as smoothly as possible. They go out of their way to make me feel welcome. Although we lost a GoPro in the room during our September stay, it’s not really hotels fault. This is my home away from home. I hope to return very soon!

We weren’t guests of the Portrait, but the concierge still went out of his way to help us get PCR tests so we could make our flight to Egypt. He had no reason to help us, no skin in the game. He was simply kind and willing to use his resources to help nice people in need. What a gem. We also got to explore the hotel, which is owned by the illustrious Ferragamo family, and the top-notch style of the hotel reflects their influence. We look forward to staying there on our next visit to Rome. What an incredible place.

There's nothing further to add to all of the other positive reviews, then to say a BIG and HEARTFELT "Grazie Mille" to every person at the Portrait Roma who helped make my stay so memorable, that I can only look forward to planning my next visit back to this OASIS in the midst of a very busy shopping and historical precinct of AMAZING ROME. The wonderful wonderful team at the front desk / reception - Simone, Francesca, Mikhaela, Vanessa .... pardon me if I missed out anyone here, but you were ALL great! Super helpful, charming, and ever-patient butler - Thomas! The 7th floor terrace staff - Andreas, Aleecia ... you were extraordinary and so on point with all of my breakfast preferences ... and of course, a very considerate "Roman seagull" who perched on its favourite corner of the terrace every morning, and squawked in the evenings. As I was travelling alone, I had a portrait studio room, which worked beautifully for all of my needs. Turndown service at night included a tray of calming tea choices with a flask of hot water and dainty tea cup, with a fresh cymbidium orchid. ARRIVERDECI Portrait Roma - can't wait to visit again.

We had an incredible stay in Rome, particularly at the Portrait Roma. The location is terrific, right on the Via dei Condotti and a very short walk to the Piazza di Spagna. There is great shopping and incredible restaurants all within walking distance. The exceptional staff takes such good care of the guests. They were all warm and welcoming and make you feel like you're the only person staying at the hotel. The room was large and had all the amenities you could imagine. We especially liked the turndown service where slippers and a place mat were placed by the bed every evening. Our favorite hotel - hands down! We also loved the 7th floor rooftop lounge for breakfast as well as drinks in evening. It has one of the most beautiful views of the city. This is one of the best hotels at which we've stayed and would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the Eternal City.

Dearest Stacey, I really appreciate your kind and cheering words and the time you've dedicated to write them for us. We do take pride in catering to our guests' needs the best way we can. It's not surprising that the staff took such wonderful care of you and made you feel so valued, this is what Portrait Roma is based on; stellar and committed personnel. I am so glad you enjoyed the stonning view up on the rooftop but let me also say, it's mesmerizing with beautiful and happiest guests like you :) I hope your next stay and just around the corner. My staff and I are looking forward to welcome you back at your Roman home, Your Portrait Roma. My best regards, Gianluca

Fashionable hotel with just a handful of rooms that is only a few blocks away from the Spanish steps. Great rooftop bar and breakfast area. Friendly and attentive service. Super comfortable beds. I wish it had a fitness area but otherwise no complaints. I'm not sure I'd stay here with kids but perfect for couples or single travelers.

Daniel and I are finishing our stay in Italy and just wanted to thank Portrait Roma again for the flawless reception, services and action oriented staff. We’ve stayed at many high end boutique hotels around Italy but nothing compared to the level of service, kindness and problem solving that the staff of Portrait Roma provided. The rooms are extra quiet, large, well equipped and cozy. Breakfast at the rooftop is delicious. We are happy to recommend the hotel to anyone (in fact, we have family members excited to visit) and we hope that you can continue to thrive with your services. Portrait Roma made our time in Italy extra special and for that we are very thankful for.
