We visited Rome and stayed at Dock Hotel for four nights as part of our honeymoon trip around Italy.
Our stay here was wonderful - the location was great with less than a five minute walk to the nearest Metro stop at Policlinico. Our suite...More
First time visiting Rome but would definitely go to the Dock Suites Hotel again! What the hotel lacks a bit in natural light it makes up for greatly in comfort. Breakfast was decent for the minimal extra cost and the hotel is a good location...More
Dock Suites is situated approx. 5 min away from Metro Station Policlinico from where you can get to Termini or Tiburtina. So you are in the city centre in about 10min. The staff was unbelievable friendly and helpful. Couldn't wish for better staff.

San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighborhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San
Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.

Try emailing them ahead of time letting them know your situation. There are people at the front desk 24 hours a day but the door is locked late at night for smashed security. Don't worry they are vigilant and watch and they have a doorbell. From where will you be flying? The only customs that have ever taken me very long once I land are the US and U.K. I doubt it will take you too long in Italy.
