Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

The structure is incredible, the staff is super attentive and receptive, the rooms are very comfortable and clean and. The location is great, very close to Termini station, close to restaurants and laundry. I loved this place and definitely want to come back!

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
The title of this review is due to the fact that the enterprise owns more than a building in the same street, the hostel itself in two different ones, the bar and the laundry. Don't get me wrong, the facilities were decent, but having to cross the street from one building to another because the reception is in only one sometimes is not that comfortable (yeah, there is whatsapp, but sometimes you need immediate and personal contact). The other two people sharing the room felt isolated, what proves that it was not only my impression. On the other hand, atmosphere is great in the main building, the kitchen is excellent and I strogly advise you not to miss the karaoke night in the Yellow bar, some steps away from the dorm building. The fun is guaranteed!

Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that you had a good experience in our hostel. Having more than 450 beds unfortunately it's not possible to keep all of them in the main building where the reception is. Nonetheless, we will take into account your remarks in order to improve our facilities :) Enjoy your next travels!

On March 8, 2020 I went on the free walking tour offered by Yellow Square. Francesco was the guide. I thoroughly enjoyed his upbeat, informative and interesting explanations of historical places. He made them come alive for me which really improved my stay in Rome. He patiently answered all the groups questions. I would highly recommend all tours by this company and especially those with Francesco. (sorry if I have not spelled your name correctly)....Margaret

I had the best time here. The location is super convenient, a few blocks from Metro stations and the Roma Termini train, bus and metro station. The place has everything you need to relax before or after a long day walking the city, a great bar that gets lit at night and serves breakfast in the morning. Couldn't try the restaurant Mama's Angela but heard great things about it too. Eduardo took really good care of us by making sure we felt accommodated and by providing us with good tips for sightseeing. Prices of stay, food, and bar are also very affordable compared to other places in Rome. I definitely would have loved to stay longer. Thanks for the great service!
