We stayed in hotel sileo for our last 2 nights of our multi cities trip for its location and proximity to the terminaI. I had stayed there almost 10 years ago and had found it a great value and very clean though very old. This time they had a huge construction hole in front of the hotel due to the...

Horrible, everything dirty and dusty. The entrance to the building is very deteriorated and dirty. The rooms were furnished with furniture with missing drawers and dust everywhere. The bathroom was the worst, mildew, mold and lack of cleaning. The shower didn't drain properly and had to shut the water or it will overflow. The hotel location near the train station...

+ Location was perfect for us as we were at that time only one night in Rome and we wanted a place near Termini (5 mins walk). A spacious room and private bathroom. The old couple who lived in the apartment itself (can not be called as a hotel), was sympathetic and friendly. Spoke only Italian, but we managed with...

The Hotel owners are very nice and friendly family. Hotel have beautiful reception and good rooms (for one star hotel). Located near Roma Termini trail station, near many good restaurants, mini markets.

The people are very nice and accommodating, however, it has not been kept up. It's looking tired and has not had ongoing maintenance done. The location while handy to Rome Termini Rail Station is going downhill.

I picked from reading Rick Steves travel book and stayed 2 nights in Oct. 2015. My only complaint and the reason for 2 stars is the lack of wi-fi. My tablet and Samsung S4 indicate there is strong wi-fi signal, but when I try to connect, nothing happened. Yes, nothing. Also, there was small cooling box with water, beer, etc...

Stay away this "hotel"! I absolutely don't consider that hotel as hotel, its even worst than a bed and breakfast. Once we walk in, the place its very dark, around 6ish pm. And when we got to our room, the bathroom is really really small (I'm a tiny person already but the bathroom is really tight). Then I saw a bottle...

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We had a late check out request and they allowed us to stay in the room a bit longer. Room was clean and well appointed. We would give it 5 stars if only their WiFi worked. We do not speak Italian and could not explain to them that their WiFi router is configured...

We had a great stay with no problems! The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, even though they didn't speak English. My husband and I used google translate a few times. They were a bit slow to respond to our e-mails while booking, but they always got back to us and we had no problems checking in. The room was...

We stayed here on a brief stopover in Roma, we arrived late and departed early. The owners were a sweet couple, they couldn't speak English but that was no problem. The rooms were basic and clean, our bed was super comfortable and had wifi and aircon. Fantastic location, 2mins walking distance from the Termini train station. Not a fancy hotel...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
