Great location, 200m from Roma Termini (main train station where you pick up the airpot bus, about 10 euro's return), easy access to all attraction in the city. My wife, daughter and I where met by a man who gave us our keys and explained breakfast and other bits and bobs, very welcoming and polite. The room was furnished to...

We booked this B&B last minute as our previous booking cancelled on us leaving us with 1 week to search for accommodation. The B&B is in easy reach of the main historical sites, approx 10-15mins walk to Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi fountain etc Less than 5mins walk away from the train station. The rooms are clean & simple and we slept...

It was a bit hard to find this place at first, but the location is actually good and in walking distance to the Colosseum and some nice restaurants. The room was big, but quite weary, as was the bathroom. It was nothing special and just ok for the price, but we enjoyed our stay here. Don't count on getting full...

The place is a little difficult to find out and has no front desk or anything of that sort. However, its a bargain for that price in the middle of the city. The wahsroom was clean and good. Beds were not soft however they had a decent brekafast in the nearby cafe.

The place is nothing like the pictures. It is old, damaged, dirty and smelly and the welcomming staff seemed to know it. We had to leave after one hour to find another place to stay. It was kind a trauma.

I'm a frequent traveller and this was my second time in rome. We booked a double room with bathroom but when we arrived there were no more rooms of this category available! We got a bedroom without the bathroom ( which was then in the corridor). We had to negotiate very hard to get a price discount, although it was...

On first entering this hotel it looks a bit shabby from the outside and we were also moved to another of their venues as the first place we reached was full....however....the guy on reception carried both our suitcases up three flights as lift was broken and gave us a map and marked on there lots of good things to see...

We stayed here for a few nights and used it purely as a place to sleep. We were out all day every day. The room is very basic, with double bed, TV and en suite. We had to ask for a kettle and cups to make tea and coffee. We were met on time and found the place OK. There...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
