The loft we stayed was very cute with lots of atmosphere. it is in an amazing building in a grate location: lots of coffee/restaurant near by and walking distance from all the Rome's attractions. we enjoyed a lot the accommodation, it was exactly what we saw on the pictures on the net. Thank you Elisabetta!

This is a charming suite that is located in a fantastic neighborhood. The online description and reviews were fairly accurate. The bathroom is a bit tight but you can easily manage. The bed is very comfortable and there is enough space to spread out a bit. You really feel like a real Roman staying here. Some tourists but many locals...

A Beautiful old Palace with great location in Rom's Trastevere. Calm location with river view. Cosy apartment called the Loft - bedroom upstairs with very special bathroom and bathtube. Highly recommended and a very nice host.

I was here for a week and it is a great place to stay. Elisabetta was super helpful upon my arrival as well. She will arm you with a map, a list of recommendations for restaurants, and the closest atm. Then you will be left to your own devices. You will be very close to the restaurants and bars in...

Fantastic romantic place in the ancient part of Rome. Once you arrive to the apartment you see a wonderful green and colourful backyard, old wallpaintings and you can breath old days. We stayed for three nights with our three children and they simply loved the upper romantic etage. Living in Trastevere was a perfect location for us and it was...

We were lucky to stay in both of the apartments over a two week vacation. The location can't be beat...very close and within walking distance to all the sites including the Vatican. They aren't fancy apartments, but the location, cleanliness, and comfort levels are all there. Much better than a hotel or many of the other B&Bs in the area....

The Ancient Trastevere Bed and Breakfast is a very well equipped accomodation in Trastevere, just off the bank of the river. The Vatican, Forum Romanun and the historic neighbourhood Centro Storico with the famous fountains and a lot of beautiful basilicas is within walking distance. Trastevere offers a lot of good restaurants at reasonable prices. The Ancient Trastevere Bed and...

We stayed for 4 nights with 2 friends. They had the suite & we had the loft. All four of us loved the quirky accommodation. Very comfortable - especially the beds, and very well located - great restaurants 5 minutes walk away and all the main sights up to a half hour stroll away. Great to have the kitchen and...

We stayed in the "Loft" apartment for 4 nights. The kitchen was handy to have (although we mostly ate out) and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom, while "bijoux", has a proper bath, which I think is essential after 8 hours of solid sightseeing! The owner, Elisabetta, met us on arrival and gave us lots of advice and some...

This was our fourth but not last visit to Rome. It was also the second time we came to Ancient Trastevere. I’ve been here on business at a 5 star hotel, stayed four nights at other b&b’s but Ancient Trastevere and all things around it beats them all (who wants to eat at the hotel in Rome?). The rooms are...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
