I attended a scientific conference, so selected this hotel as it is on the bus 982 bus route to Auditorium Parco della Musica (conference venue). It is also less than 5min walk to Ottavia metro, so easy access to get to the main train station and catch the airport bus from there. Clean room. Air conditioning great as Rome was...

Topmost requirements we had for a place to stay in Rome were - Location (around Vatican/ near public transport), Price, Safety. From Hotel Silla, St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums were just a short walk away. Since the Ottaviano Metro was just a turn at the corner, all the other sights to visit (especially with a Roma card) were so...

My husband, two teenage boys and I stayed at the Hotel Silla the first 4 nights of our two week Italy adventure. It was the perfect place to stay. It is located at the end of a street in a relatively quiet neighborhood next to the river. The river helped to orient us on any map we were using to...

A perfect hotel located near the metro station, which is very useful, reasonable price and very helpful and kind staff. Air conditioning must be paid additionally, which is a small minus, but it is not a neccessity in that particular building, the temperature there is fine. The breakfast was allright, nothing special but still tasty and nicely prepared. The hotel...

Stayed here in 2012 came back this year with family including 20 month old toddler. had three rooms between our part. 2 good size doubles and 1 single which was a bit cramped but did the job. 5- 10 min walk from Vatican which is a good location to get tour buses from. Lots of restaurants nearby if you walk...

This hotel is ok. Its not very extraordinary. Considering its supposed to be low budget hotel its quite satisfactory. The wifi signal was not too good, couldnt get proper signal on my bed. Hotel doesnt even provide water in room. There is no provision if u want to have tea or coffee in room. Microwave is out of question. There...

Nice hotel, friendly staff, exceptional cleanliness of rooms, but uncomfortable beds which were very difficult to sleep on. You pay extra for breakfast, which we didn't take since you can get a nice cup of coffee round the corner. Good transport links. Take a direct train (air conditioned, 4.80 euro one way) from St.Peter's train station to Santa Marinella for...

Hotel Silla was great value for money. It's in a great location, 10 minute walk from the Vatican and 2 minutes from the local metro station. The area felt safe and was nice and quiet at night. Easily accessible and the staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend for a cheap...

We stay at this lovely hotel our last days in Rome, and believe me was awesome!! Very near from the Vatican and few steps far the subway, there are a lot of nice places to eat near the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

“Do not stay in a room located between the reception area and breakfast area. In the morning when guests are checking out, particularly large tour groups, they tend to be very loud. Rooms past the breakfast area were much quieter.”
