We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel from Oct 12-16. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with all of our questions. I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the room was especially traveling with a 2 year old. He had plenty of room to run around and play. The location was great! We were able to... More

Wow...... No not really, I wanted to put five star so everyone would see this.. I wanted to try and be as positive as possible and while this is a privately owned hotel there are some serious concerns about this place that need to be addressed. First and foremost, noise, to say it is unbearable is an understatement. Every morning... More

at this point we have really no other words for what you are doing, "talking about childish behavior".. it is the THIRD time you publish the same review to be at the top of the page, offering nothing more than the same misleading content to tripadvisors users that come here to search for honest info.. as a first time reviewer... This is a great hotel in a good location, family owned and operated. Breakfast is served each morning and consists of meats, eggs, cereal, breads, cheeses, pastry and more to get you started on your day. It's a 10 minute walk from Barberini metro station. I especially liked that it was only a 5 minute walk to the Borghese Gallery... More

Traveling as a family of four we loved the option of the family suite. Hotel Golden is mostly on the first floor of an apartment block and our rooms/apartment was on the second floor ; reached by an old fashioned cage type elevator which my daughter loved (my son preferred the stairs!). Chosen from trip advisor based on reviews and... More

I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff! Our luggage was lost flying into Rome and not returned to us for 4 days. This was obviously a terrible experience but, everyone at Hotel Golden went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable. They gave us complimentary toiletries, a map with directions to the local laundromat, and Marco even called... More

Family run hotel who really look after you. Warm welcome, good local advice. Hotel rooms clean and spacious with small bathroom. Breakfast was nice although could have been a bit more space in the cramped dining room, the hotel us very popular,

This is the second time we have stayed at the Hotel Golden and both times have found it to be a great location and a great experience. The family that owns the hotel could not be nicer or more obliging. They were a great help with any queries we may have had. I would recommend this Hotel and if you... More

My husband and I stayed at and were welcomed into this family business for two weeks. I think the Rome experience would have not been the same if we had stayed in some large impersonal hotel. The entire family was helpful beyond what I could have expected. They provided REAL information on the best ways to get around the city,... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
