We stayed at Hotel Golden before and after a cruise we booked leaving out of Civitevecchia (Rome's Port). They pre-arraigned a pick up at the airport for us and the driver was waiting there when we arrived. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by Marco and a ready room so we were able to freshen up and rest... More

Family run, friendly and very personal with plenty of good local knowledge and the breakfast was amazing (cooked by mumma herself). Hotel is in a good location and walking distance to the metro. Rooms were a reasonable size, very clean and nicely decorated in authentic Italian style. Will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed 3 nights at the Hotel Golden. The front desk staff was so incredibly helpful. They gave us great advice and suggestions to help us take advantage of our time in Rome. The breakfast was lovely each day and we appreciated the attention to detail at the property. Their laundry service is a must! $10 euro for a whole... More

Absolutely will return to this boutique Hotel in Rome. The owners, breakfast, rooms and location are fantastic. The owners all all charming and helpful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The location is safe and just a 10 minute walk to a subway stop. We had stayed in this area before so knew what we were in for but... More

We only stayed for one night but wished we stayed longer and we definitely will stay here again in the future. Giuseppe was extra helpful with restaurant recommendations and tips with the Vatican. He even booked the tickets for our group. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, all home made by the matriarch of the family. Though the eating area... More

We only stayed here, two nights, as a way to get from Vienna to Nantes by air. It was also our fourth visit to a city, we love very much. We stayed here on TA's advice and it was in a new part of Rome to us. The advice we got at checkin guided our stay. We visited the Villa... More

We really loved our stay at Hotel Golden. Everyone there was very helpful and gave us lots of suggestions of what do whilst in Rome. The rooms were pretty large, very comfortable and always smelt nice. Breakfast was also one of best we had in Italy and had lots of options to choose from. I would highly recommend staying at... This family-owned hotel was in the perfect location. Everything was in walking distance and Giuseppe was kind enough to go through an entire walking route to see the "big" sites in Rome. Whatever we needed they were able to do for us, whether it was make reservations at a hotel or get us a taxi for the next morning. The... More

A haven of cool and calm warmth in a hot and busy city - just what is needed to relax and unwind in between hectic jaunts around Rome! Good breakfast. Quite a small area, but that didn't really matter. Well positioned hotel, which is so important - nice and near the Villa Borghese - a wonderful place to go.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
