First of ,its supposed to be hotel and it’s not a hotel or a bed and breakfast. You enter into a reception that looks like a business center and then you are taken out of the building and down the block to another location. If you are not Italian and clearly visible visitors. You are now a sure target to get robbed cause it is clearly a residential area and not a very good one . We weren’t allowed to see the room before payment and it was horrible. It’s like sharing an apartment with people you don’t know. Kitchen not available and a tiny room! We chose to leave and was not refunded a penny. Customer service is horrendous and I hope no one ever has to experience the same thing as us . We found Novohotel wish is a dream and costed less money than this horrible place. Please be warned this is clearly a crooked establishment!!

I do not often write bad reviews, but after our experience, I felt that one was in order. Our reservation was made for the Rome Vatican Inn, and we arrived there, and after some confusion as to the actual floor/location of the hotel, we arrived at reception. The man who checked us in was very short with my mother and I. After completing all of the registration and taking payment, and he informed us that we would actually be staying at a different hotel because there was a problem with the Rome Vatican Inn. He then proceeded to grab my mother's suitcase and leave the building. Once outside he quickly walked down the street without any further information. My mother is 70 years old and walking long distances over uneven surfaces is difficult for her, especially at the pace that the man was going. We usually arrange for her to have a wheelchair if in situations such as this one. We ending up walking about a little more than five blocks, all while carrying our suitcases with us. Once we finally arrived at the hotel, we were handed off to another man brought us to our room, and he was much more pleasant. The room was very nice and in a decent location but was extremely hot. The man turned on the air conditioning and showed us how to adjust it. He said that it might take a while for the room to cool down and then left. After several hours, the room had not cooled down, so we called the phone number posted for problems or questions. Once again the rude man answered. I told him that the room was very hot and believed that the air conditioning was not working. He responded, "you just have to wait and have some patience." We slept the entire night in the room with the air conditioning not functioning. The next day we left the hotel early and early in the afternoon called the posted phone number again to inform them that the room had never cooled down and asked that someone come to look at the air condition unit. The man was once again very impatient and rude. He stated that he would look but had no time frame on when that would happen and didn't know if he would be able to fix it even if he looked at it. He said I could either move to another hotel (AGAIN) or deal with the hot room, as we were going to be checking out in the morning and he thought it was not that big of a deal. I told him that I was not satisfied with either of those choices, however, I asked that they looked at the unit and I would contact them again later. Once we arrived back at the hotel after our tour, the room was again very, very, hot! I tried calling again several times and my call was not answered. While I was attempting to call, the housekeeper arrived and we were able to communicate to her that the air conditioning did not work. She then used her phone to call the hotel and informed them that the room was very hot, the air conditioning was not working and that it was too hot for us to stay in. She gave me the phone to speak to a different hotel representative and they once again suggested either moving to another hotel or dealing with the heat. I stated that neither of those options was acceptable to me and after some back and forth, they arranged for us to move to another room on a different floor of the same building. The housekeeper was also very nice and assisted my mother and me with moving our luggage to the other rooms. While both rooms that we stayed in were very nice, I was very unhappy with the customer service (except that given by the housekeeper, who was extremely helpful and kind). I feel that I should have been notified about having the change of hotels BEFORE I was charged and that they could have been more understanding about the difficulty of my mom have to walk from hotel to hotel. I understand that problems can happen with hotel rooms but having good customer service would have made all the difference in having our stay be a pleasant one.

I’ve book this hotel on Booking.com WITH FREE CANCELATION to stay 4 nights on next may. But I had to canceling the booking. Few minutos after I cancelled I was charged for the full amount. I sent an email with all the copies with the email from booking.com saying that my reservation was with FREE CANCELATION. Then they answered me saying that they charged because it was not refundable. I sent AGAIN the email with booking.com reservation explaining the FREE CANCELATION. It’s been a week I’m waiting my refund. I work in a hotel as well and I know how important is a review. I hope I get my £450 back as soon as possible.

A warm welcome to Vatican Inn - I booked this because of the online reviews and was not disappointed. The staff were really friendly and the accommodation was immaculate and maintained to a very high standard. Very comfortable bed and lovely bedding and comfortable pillows. I usually sleep with 3, however, the two they provided was sufficient. My room was clean every day and all amenities replaced. The location is perfect as it is just around the corner from the Vatican and within easy walking reach of many of the attractions. The shuttle bus to and from the airport is a 6-minute walk away, all very convenient. I would defiantly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.

Booked here due to the excellent location and reasonable price. Room was so modern and clean and had everything we needed including a small fridge and lovely red hot shower. Beds left a little to be desired ( an extra pillow would have been nice ) and could be a little noisy due to traffic or new guests arriving early but room was very warm and didn't cause a lot of issues. Vatican, castel sant Angelo minutes away and also close to metro line. Recommend for any sightseer wanting a good clean base and would also recommend the restaurant across the road as well as the supermarket shop! Would stay again.
