For the kind of traveler, that uses the hotel as a base to explore a city, this hotel can be what you are looking for. Certainly, the fact that is located 5 minutes walk away from Termini station, it the most valuable feature of this hotel. Other good things is its price, cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff. On the... More

The one good thing about the hotel is the location. As soon as you enter the room you will notice the strong smell of mold, that is even stronger in the bathroom. On short one can not sleep with the window closed because of that. The blankets have as well a strange smell, the bathroom taps are old and rusty.... More

Very nice rooms, very nice bathroom, clean. It is quiet at night. Breakfast is great, so many things to choose from. Coffie and snacks in the lobby. Location is great. Place to come back to. We were very satisfied.

We weren't originally staying at this hotel and instead had booked the europa hotel around a 5 minute walk from the archimede hotel but due to issues at the Europa hotel we were put in a room at the archimede for our easter weekend break. After much trouble with getting our accommodation sorted we finally go to reception at this... More

Stayed 4 days found last minute on Expedia. Fast check in old monastery so really got the feel of Rome. I was first surprised the room was small but after seeing the hotel maids cleaning our room the breakfast staff in morning all in uniform the front desk staff very welcoming they spoke English checked us in late and let... A group of us stayed at this Hote. The location was great. It was walking distance to the metro, train, bus stations. The beds were comfy, had a nice window in the room overlooking the street. Had great towels, but no shower curtain was tricky....unless you use the bathtub :) The breakfast was ok. I did miss having real coffee... More

We have stayed in this hotel before room was ok clean but not tiny. Our main compaint was that the shower has no curtain and the bathroom got very wet , and tended to flood when the shower was in use. The tiny tv on unit had about 100 stations but none in english no cnn. Breakfast was very basic... More

It's not a 4 star hotel. Room was as wide as a "bed" :) with no fresh air, it has a window looks at the vantilation area. Hotel has very old furniture, uncomfortable bed and pillows. Dirty towels and bed cover. No shower curtain and bathroom is covered by water when you take shower. There's no hanger for towels. Room... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
